But yes, love the teaching, camaraderie, exposure to interesting research outside my field. It’s a rich and special life.

@sjh5000 I went back into academia in Mar 2020. Wasn’t going for any academic job: specifically Northumbria Uni because of amazing people there. Had been working from home, self-employed for 5 years but going in to uni about once a fortnight to collaborate and got a buzz from those days.
