"I'm your dad."
As I dropped my kids off at school this morning and now wait for them to come home, I can't stop thinking about Palestinian parents and children who embrace a loved one after believing they were dead, because so many thousands are.
Sky News reports that a 28-year-old Palestinian woman, six months pregnant and suffering severe internal bleeding, was being transported from Qaryout in the occupied West Bank to Rafidia Surgical Hospital in Nablus when Israeli soldiers stopped her ambulance at the Awarta checkpoint.
Video shows Israeli forces detained the ambulance crew for more than 30 minutes, subjected the bleeding, critically ill woman to a physical search, and ordered the driver to turn off the engine, cutting power to the vehicle’s onboard medical equipment.
During the forced delay, a nurse was forced to deliver the fetus stillborn inside the stranded ambulance. The woman was eventually allowed to proceed to the hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery and saved her life. The baby could not be saved.
Israel hasnt been suspended from the UN, other in'l fora, UEFA, FIFA, FIBA or cultural events. Genocide continues because it is normalised.
And then, just like that, accountability in the form of a European boycott begins. Eurovicious no more!

Months of warnings have fallen on deaf ears.
#famine is now confirmed in #Gaza city.
This is starvation by design & manmade by the Government of Israel.
It is the direct result of banning food & other basic supplies for months including from @UNRWA.
The spread of famine can still be controlled by a ceasefire + allowing humanitarian organisations to do their work & reach starving people with aid.
Time for political will!

When you’ve witnessed thousands of these scenes, you can’t help but wonder: how can those who’ve likely seen none—or seen them and refused to see the victims as human—dare to speak of “balance” in the face of genocide? Balance between what—and whom?
The Israeli military attacking a boat full of unarmed activists bringing food and medicine to Gaza is a clear breach of International Law that should be strongly condemned and have consequences #Madleen
More than 50,000 children reportedly killed or injured in #Gaza since October 2023.
One child, every 20 minutes.
Grave violations. Blocked aid. Starvation.
Homes, schools, hospitals — destroyed.
This is the destruction of childhood. Of life itself.
These are children. Not numbers.
No child should live through this. Not one more.
Albanese’s words are too little, too late. Weak words of condemnation are meaningless without action.
His comments on Israel’s latest campaign of forced starvation come 597 days into the genocide in Gaza, while this government continues to supply weapon parts to the IOF.
Harrowing.
At least 100 children are reported killed or injured every day in #Gaza, since the strikes resumed (on 18 March) according to @UNICEF
Young lives cut short in a war not of children’s making.
Since the war began 1.5 years ago, 15,000 children were reportedly killed.
The ceasefire at the beginning of the year gave Gaza’s children a chance to survive & be children.
The resumption of the war is again robbing them of their childhood. The war has turned Gaza into a “no land” for children.
This is a stain on our common humanity.
Nothing justifies the killing of children wherever they are.
