@JohnONolan@adamwathan I moved everything to Docusaurus and manage it with Claude code. All behind Cloudflare zero trust for access contro. It’s absolutely fantastic and runs on a 5$ vps.
@dhh You're the one judging if it meets your intent. You need to be the editor. The problem is when people throw AI slop into conversations without thinking themselves. https://t.co/eY2a19woWu
@Gibboanxious I’ve turned off this feature on every TV I’ve encountered in my life. Hotels, Airbnbs, friends, families. It must be hundreds. Thank you for validating this. Motion smoothing has the same effect as putting fresh crisp fries in the microwave.
Visited Germany this summer (German expat) and was honestly embarrassed about exactly this. Can’t imagine how a first-time visitor feels realizing they can’t even use a toilet for free, especially on the highway. I was traveling with a Japanese friend and was so embarrassed. In Tokyo a drink from a vending machine costs less than going to the bathroom in Germany. please give us the Japanese toilet and vending machine infrastructure everywhere.
Reminds me of this Tarkovsky quote from Stalker:
When a man is just born, he is weak and flexible. When he dies, he is hard and insensitive. When a tree is growing, it's tender and pliant. But when it's dry and hard, it dies. Hardness and strength are death's companions. Pliancy and weakness are expressions of the freshness of being. Because what has hardened will never win.
