@MTr8PhysEd I think my biggest fears were the students not receiving the information that I give them over video. However, it has happened and it wasn't too bad. I just needed to adjust my centers in my classroom. #wuedt6020
@ChallburgTeach@McCoolWILMu I absolutely love Nearpod. I am able to use them for open-ended questions, and reviews. The students like to able to give their opinion and read the opinions of others as well as play against each other during learning games.
@MichelleDech3 Students not have technology at home has been my biggest road block. I am in a state of constant change in the classroom to ensure that the learning is equitable.
@MrKppnhvr Lack of student accountability has been my biggest source of fatigue throughout the pandemic. It feel as though we (teachers) are the only one who cares and the ones who shoulder the blame for students not reaching goals.
@LizMoraMartinez@BlakeMusicTeach@JoyMac22 I agree!! I created a Nearpod review for a math lesson, and the student's said "Can we do this whenever we want to at home?" Insert inner fist pump here!!!!
@JoyMac22@GregWilmU@EdTechLaura I teach a mixture of lessons as well. Just today I realized that the student didn't quite grasp the math concept given to them via video so I went back to the traditional lecture and note-taking, then allowed the students to tell me what made the concept difficult to understand.
@EdTechLaura The pandemic has definitely showed areas improvement is needed in my school, as far as student support. With the students doing much of their work on their own a spotlight was put on what was retained from the lessons and where additional support was needed.
@MichelleDech3@jacalynj11@EdTechLaura@McCoolWILMu What do you do when the student do not have internet access at home or the use of a device? I have begun recording lesson because of the lack of resources that some of the students have they have to watch them during class. #wuedt6020
@jacalynj11 I also want to incorporate Gamification into my classroom. The trouble I am having is two-fold. 1. Changing myself (my more traditional way of teaching) that allows the flexibility to do theses things. #wuedt6020
