I've just updated my theme park builder world, VRtual Park, with the Persistence Update!
You can now save your progress and continue managing your theme park anytime. #VRChat#VRChat_world
Thanks everyone for watching my panel!
I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you learned something new. Hopefully, it will be uploaded later on Furality's YouTube channel. I was talking really fast since I had so many things to say, so you'll be able to rewatch it at your own pace.
Furality released the panel and event schedules.
My panel "Unity Lighting & Visual Polish in VRChat" will take place the 4th of June at 6:00 PM (UTC+0), it will also be live streamed on Furality's Twitch channel.

The past few Furality events, I tried making my Tron-themed avatar fit the Furality theme, but this year my original avatar style fits more the theme.
I'm pretty happy with the result, and I like how the baked emissive lights turned out.
Now that Iโve got access to some Furality assets, I decided to add a few.
I still wanted to keep that Tron-aesthetic, but the assets felt a bit out of place at first, so I played around with the colors a bit. This is what I got so far.
The avatar is still medium.

For me personally, it's fun hanging out with friends and exploring worlds together, it feels better than just voice calling someone, it's probably the closest we can get to meeting in person without actually being there.
(IRL meets are still better for me, but I can't meet friends from all around the world every day)
Lastly, 3 hours on VRChat often feels like one hour, a bit annoying how quickly time passes on such a platform.
My basic thought process was "Lightning illuminates the whole sky, so I should make the skybox brighter. But that would also mean updating the reflection probe, or maybe I could try tweaking the RP intensity..."
So in my case, it was actually a desired effect to make certain specular reflections stronger, but playing around with the RP intensity makes everything brighter, it's like every light source in the scene suddenly gets a boost in intensity.
It's not very accurate, but since it's just a quick flash, I feel like it's good enough for me.
I think an interesting way to to simulate lightning in Unity is to increase the intensity of a reflection probe and the skybox for a split second, no RT light sources or post processing needed here #VRChat
@alareis_vrc Good to know
In my case, I guess it seems to work well because my reflection probe is mostly just skybox.
For avatar lighting, maybe a bright light volume could be used that can be toggled on and off. Thereโs also a light volume intensity setting.
For VRChat specifically, make sure the assets don't use any scripts (except editor scripts or tools), and support the Built-in Render Pipeline. https://t.co/MxYPm9mY9l
Seems like the Unity asset store has some sales right now, many assets are -90% off, for instance I saw 2โฌ bundles that previously cost 100โฌ
So, if you're looking for some assets, it might be worth checking out those sales.

RELEASE DAY! Laserdome is now running on Quest! This comes with a huge update to the games code, its maps (including a new one) and mechanics to evolve Laserdome further! #VRChat
@GuriboVR Interesting, it makes sense that not every audio source is played, but I would have expected Unity to do some kind of distance-based audio source culling.
@Raspberrykitty1 Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure, it's a mesh renderer, so it doesn't have blend shapes to customise its shape, but maybe you could make it work by just adjusting the position and scale.
I just updated the Spiri'Vali tech glasses on my Gumroad, it now includes a variant for Furality Ultra.
Shaders were made from scratch using the Amplify shader editor. Personally, I like how the AudioLink/video effect turned out.

The update can be downloaded on Gumroad, but if you prefer, you can also DM me on Discord (@/myrop, I have a PS1 Hagrid pfp) and I can send you the package directly. https://t.co/kmGUTfOeg0
The running Avali (originally a Starbound mod) is just an example of what can be done with a flipbook texture.
I can't share that particular flipbook texture on Gumroad due to licensing restrictions (non-commercial), so the package includes a different flipbook texture.
I don't know if it's exactly the same issue, but for worlds we have the issue that the remote player's collider is just a sphere at the feet level.
There was a dev update mentioning a collider update, under "Remote Player Collider Changes" https://t.co/o4XAVSoXcl
Not sure why it's not implemented yet, maybe it caused some issues with existing systems.
The running Avali (originally created by "Ryuujin" as a Starbound mod) is just an example of what can be done with a flipbook texture.
I don't think I can share that particular flipbook texture due to licensing restrictions, but I'll try to find one that is CC0.
Currently working on the "Furality Ultra" update of the cyberglasses shader, which I'll release as a free update. There will be an option to set a custom flipbook texture + parallax support.
No ETA yet, as I'm also busy with a bunch of other things, but hopefully soonish
