#Sudan: We are deeply concerned for the safety of civilians in El Fasher, in light of a likely imminent attack by the RSF. Both parties should de-escalate tensions & take urgent steps to ensure the civilian population is protected.
"Dismantling UNRWA now, outside a political process, will undermine the #ceasefire agreement and sabotage #Gazaโs recovery."

Civil society activist Dallia Abdelmoniem explains why the recent victory of the Sudanese army over the Rapid Support Forces in Wad Madani is significant and a โjoyous victoryโ for the Sudanese people.
The ongoing conflict in Sudan has exacerbated the challenges faced by persons with disabilities (PWDs). War-related injuries, displacement, and limited access to healthcare have led to a significant increase in disability rates. Despite Sudan's ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, implementation remains a challenge. This article by Asala Salah highlights the experiences of PWDs in Sudan, focusing on issues such as stigma, discrimination, and lack of access to rehabilitation services. It also explores the role of civil society organizations and international cooperation in addressing the needs of PWDs. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of inclusive policies, accessible services, and social inclusion to ensure that PWDs are not left behind in post-conflict reconstruction efforts.
