It's #FlashbackFriday!
Before we were NASA, we were the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (the NACA). Some of the women at Ames worked as human computers. Today, the women at the Ames Wind Tunnels have leading roles as Engineers and Supervisors.
Happy International Women's Day! Today (and everyday 🙂) let's celebrate the women in our lives who've inspired us, fought for our equality, and given us opportunities to grow! And happy 4th birthday to this gif 😊 🎉 It's been amazing to see the world share it over the years!
For Mary W. Jackson, a love of science & a commitment to improving the lives of people around her were one & the same. Tomorrow, the @NASA Headquarters building is being named in her honor. Read more about the event and her legacy: https://t.co/3eHKYcZjc8

I'm feeling #lunar today. Map of Apollo sites & visualization of #moon's phase vs. time throughout Apollo period (1969-1972). Humans always landed during 14day sunlit lunar-day. In the timelapse you can see the Moon's "wobble". Don't get too dizzy! Enjoy! https://t.co/4mzMXCNlgy
Today, Congress will hold its first hearing on the #EqualRightsAmendment in 36 years. It's so crazy to me that in 2019, we still don't have equal rights and protection under the US Constitution! I'll be watching the #ERAHearing today closely!
Several of our very own women @NASAAmes will be joining @ChabotSpace tomorrow for the Women In STEAM event, Saturday, March 23, 10:00am-4:00pm
