We've reached an awful and grim moment in #Gaza.

@WFP food supplies inside the Strip have run out, even though there is enough food to feed a million people positioned in aid corridors but cannot reach those in need.

The situation is the same with medical supplies. They are running out, while 16 @WHO trucks wait to enter.

This aid blockade must end. Lives depend on it.

On Tuesday, I was talking with colleagues at Plan International about the amazing work of a courageous and talented photojournalist called Fatima Hassouneh. She had captured the struggle, the landscape, the bravery, the hope and the despair of daily life in her community. We hoped to find ways to support her to share her work with the world.

One Thursday, we got word that she had been killed by an Israeli airstrike, along with her family.

As we are all far too accustomed to utter these days, 'there are no words.'

In Gaza, @PalestineRCS teams have been responding to the aftermath of devastating airstrikes that took place on Monday.

Gaza was already reeling from the impact of the closure of border crossings in early March, severely limiting food, fuel and medical supplies.

The @IFRC is deeply concerned about the ongoing escalation of violence in coastal areas of Syria, particularly in Latakia and Tartous, and its humanitarian impact on affected communities.

Despite all, the @SYRedCrescent continues to work tirelessly all across the country to provide emergency medical care and essential aid to those affected.

A ceasefire is not just a pause—it’s a lifeline.

In six weeks of calm, aid reached those in desperate need: hospitals reopened, water flowed, and mobile clinics served the sick. Now, with aid blocked, millions in Gaza face devastating consequences.

The @PalestineRCS, in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Health, @WHOoPt, and @UNICEFpalestine, has launched a five-day vaccination campaign to curb the polio outbreak in the Gaza Strip.

The campaign is being carried out across all #PRCS clinics and medical points, with key distribution hubs in Gaza City, Khan Younis, Rafah, and Jabalia.

This initiative is a vital step in protecting children’s health and preventing the spread of polio.

It's hard to comprehend Gaza's devastation. It's the equivalent of every single person in Paris having lost either a family member, a home, their school, the local GP surgery, their job or a combination of all of those things.

There are deep wounds from this last 15 months that aren't visible.

The @IFRC is supporting @PRCS as they prioritize urgent healthcare needs—operating ambulance services, mobile clinics, and providing basic treatment.

The situation is critical: people lack essential supplies like fuel, food, and blankets, and Gaza's healthcare system is near collapse. Immediate action is needed to deliver life-saving aid and provide shelter.
