I’m happy to share that the Central Bank of Tanzania (BOT) @BankOfTanzania has granted @SwahiliesPay our own Payment Service Provider (PSP) License.
Over the past few years, we have worked with more than 15,000 SMEs through bookkeeping and embedded finance solutions. This license now allows us to build and launch our own financial products directly with licensed partners, while also serving businesses with higher transaction volumes.
We are getting back to work, focused on building bigger things for businesses across Tanzania and Africa!

@bichwaa Depends, for a single domain would do it via CloudFlare if the domain is proxied by them. subdomains may be tricky, for them nafanya via nginx.

2004 was a good year, but your Gmail address doesn't need to be stuck in it.
To say goodbye to [email protected] or [email protected] (or whatever you were into at the time), go to your Google Account settings and choose any name available. You'll keep your old username and you can sign in with both.
Downloaded and installed iOS 18 last year after failing to uninstall iOS 26 Beta at the time. Was so shocked on how easy that whole process was. No iCloud or password was required, I just shutoff the phone and booted into their recovery mode, then installed the new OS
So apparently all that upuuzi wa kusema huwezi kubypass an Iphone it’s a lie?
Mdogo angu kaibiwa simu jana, washenzi wale accessed her phone, disabled find my iPhone, changed passwords including her gmail account, and added passkeys.
And so far the police hasn’t been helpful.
AI is still terrible at working on images. Tried to convert a PNG to SVG today, damn😅 lot of gaslighting, lying, fake transparent pngs instead of svgs.. total mess
I get the concept and the optics, especially in the innovation race among local banks. Just thinking out loud though: since most modern phones already support NFC, wouldn’t supporting contactless payments on phones cover a much wider use case, with wearables as a nice add-on?
@GIVENALITY I get the ‘cover’ confusion there, not what I meant tho😅. I mean like the phone itself through NMB Mkononi app for instance to support contactless payments without additional accessories since they already have the hardware
Brings me joy when I withdraw money from an agent, I ask them if they support Selcom Pesa, to which they say they don’t but they are following it up since most customers ask about it… soon
I released Laravel Debugbar 4.0!
Check the release blog: https://t.co/GyOh9FaDBI
This brings a lot of changes under the hood (like php-debugbar 3, no jquery, optimized loading) but also a lot of Laravel improvements (better Livewire/Inertia/Octane support) and more collectors!
