The 14th WTO Ministerial Meeting has closed in Yaoundé. We worked hard, we stayed late negotiating until the wee hours of each morning, we got a lot done, including agreement on an important reform package, but couldn’t quite close the deal on the e-commerce Moratorium. We were supposed to close the meeting at 1pm but Members kept working until midnight and then quite rightly decided to adjourn the meeting and take back our Yaoundé package of work to Geneva to complete it there. Members were amazing in their patience and determination. Our Cameroonian hosts were even more amazing. Many thanks to them for their warm hospitality and hard work. We are grateful in particular to H.E. Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute, to the Interministerial Committee, to MC14 Chair H.E. Minister Luc-Magloire Mbarga Atangana @MbargaAtangana1 and H.E. Amb Salomon Eheth. I want to say how proud I am of the wonderful @wto Secretariat staff who, working beside Cameroon, helped to ensure the success of this meeting. The attendance of over 120 delegations, over 80 Ministers, and 2000 delegates is a testimony to the importance of the Yaoundé meeting. Long live the Yaoundé package! We’ll complete the work!

#Cameroon's #HIV/AIDs response is laudable. The need for #adolescents (boys and girls) to be equipped to #advocate for their #health is a way towards their meaningful participation and engagement.

What a privilege to join inspiring young leaders at the #ICFP2025 Youth Summit in Bogotá, Colombia.
Ingenuity is everywhere —opportunity isn't. It’s time to share power, build trust and invest in youth-led change for #SRHR.
That’s the pathway for inclusive and lasting progress.
Congratulations @dienekeita, for your appointment to lead the world's organisation for the people. More power to your elbow as you man the affairs of @UNFPA, for the health and well-being of all and sundry.

Talking about “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” I was pleased to open this #InternationalYouthDay webinar by @DeserveTweet, focused on adolescent well-being. The #ACAPToolkit published by @DeserveTweet is a policy & action guide for youth to engage in local actions.

After 8.5 years, today I bid farewell to @UNFPA and the @UN family. I leave with confidence that a brighter future for women and girls is within reach.
I'll be rooting from the sidelines as my amazing colleagues carry our march of progress forward.

Healthcare = 5th largest global carbon emitter! 🤯 (as presented by Dr. John Bonning). Research on #ClimateChange & #Healthcare is just gaining steam. Time for health systems and individuals to step up and adapt for a healthier planet for all. #SustainableHealthcare
We celebrate women on #InternationalWomensDay, but not to forget our collective actions to advance human rights, equality and empowerment for everyone.
Happy #IWD you.
@DeserveTweet joins its voice with all other actors across in CMR & the world, calling on all to "Take the rights path: My health, my right!'' From this theme of the #WorldAidsDay2024, we acknowledge the essence of health for all as a key part of the fight against HIV/AIDS.
We call on governments and partners to act now: to invest in infection prevention, support the responsible use of antimicrobials, and empower CHWs to protect children from drug-resistant diseases.
