@10DowningStreet when will you have a serious in depth interview with the likes of Trevor Philips, Laura Kuenssberg, Adam Boulton or Andrew Neil instead of leaving your Ministers to always face the questions? Perhaps it might, even, alter people’s perception of your premiership
@waitrose So as a “responsible employer,” you sack an employee for trying to safeguard the store’s property. Yet more evidence that Waitrose and its ‘Partner’ ethos is simply tosh.
@waitrose Waitrose’ silence, either publicly or to my tweet, suggests arrogance or carelessness with their reputation. Great that Iceland have employed Mr Smith. For my part, I’ll give my Beaconsfield Waitrose a miss from now and walk a bit further to the Sainsbury’s hyper market
@dobbies what a shame the Perth branch no longer stocks Waitrose foods. As the foods are just the same as my nearest garden centre, Glendoick, there’s no point to travelling to Perth.

@waitrose Absolutely disgusted to learn you sacked Walker Smith, an employee, for confronting a shoplifter trying to steal Easter chocolates. What sort of organisation does this? A warning perhaps but dismissal is harsh. Destroys any reputation as a responsible employer.
@VirginMoney But the Virgin Ad doesn’t say Switzerland is excluded nor because it’s part of the EEA! The Ad is deceptive in claiming, “Spend in Europe with no foreign exchange fees.” It needs to be changed. Ironically, I understand my Nationwide card doesn’t charge for Swiss purchases!
@VirginMoney Website ad says, “Spend in Europe with no foreign exchange fees.” Doesn’t say Virgin excludes Switzerland. Apparently because, though not stated, it’s not part of the EEA! I was charged a transaction fee thinking, like the majority, Switzerland was part of Europe!
@VirginMoney Link provided says. “Pay no foreign exchange fee in Europe.” Smaller print includes the EU and some currencies but does not specifically exclude Switzerland despite it being a member of EFTA. If one doesn’t know the difference Virgin Money, unlike Nationwide, will clobber you!
@VirginMoney Disappointed to find exchange rate fees charged on Swiss Airlines phone booking requiring Swiss Francs. Despite impression given in Virgin credit card ad, “Spend in Europe with no foreign exchange fees.” I now know not to trust Virgin Money headlines at face value
@Keir_Starmer as well as incompetent, a knave. Can’t believe Burnham blocked. Though a previous supporter of Labour First, glad I dumped my Labour Party membership and will be campaigning for ‘ABL’ (Anyone But Labour) wherever I can!
@channel5_tv to be watching the Senior Snooker all week and Channel 5 pulls the plug on the final frame of the final. What a bunch of plonkers is Channel 5.
@tescomobile No signal in this Dundee area since 16 December. Apparently a faulty transmitter. Now told may take another 7 days. Can Tesco Mobile display a better sense of urgency? Especially at this festive time of year where a mobile is important
@TfL why is the 16 bus from Paddington to North London every HALF HOUR instead of 12 minutes as stated on timetables? Similarly the Elizabeth line from Heathrow into Paddington is so slow. Absolutely pathetic TFL
@Ed_Miliband £35 per household to switch off wind farms! As a simple person, one has to wonder at the incompetence and question the Government’s whole energy strategy
@British_Airways I’m now Exec Club bronze level! A leisure traveller, I knew I couldn’t hold onto Gold level and started travelling on other airlines. Bronze offers little more than I already get with business class on BA or other airlines. As a loyalty promotion it’s joke.
