Obesity and overweight are estimated to have caused $425.5 billion in economic costs to U.S. businesses and employees in 2023 alone lmao

To spell this out as clearly as possible: getting obese and overweight people on GLP-1s will almost certainly result in a net decrease in taxes (all else equal) or just a more prosperous economy such that the average American is netted more money (all else equal).

The economic cost/benefit analysis is so comically weighted towards such a clear benefit it's nuts this hasn't already been done already.
