Our claim that none of the cosmological parameters are constant in the standard model. This is the likely endgame for precision cosmology. Building a new model will take time but this is the intermediary step.

The wealthiest private colleges hoard as much money as many of the biggest tech companies in the US.
(I know cash on hand isn't the same as endowment funds. It's the scale that's interesting.)
@alexkaplan0@martinmbauer Physicists are different people my man.
You can't claim hypocrisy by saying "physicists say X but also Y" when it's different people saying the two things.
I doubt that CMTC, for example, is in the habit of writing grant proposals that hype room-temp SC

Poll for #astrotwitter: if you have a celestial object that can make observers, theoreticians, and simulators happy when being analysed further, how would you call that object?
Please inspire me with some brainstorming!

@just_shaun If the LCDM model is breaking down (tensions are physical) evolution is expected at the background level from Friedmann equations+simple math. Once this is seen, most recently https://t.co/Uap6BqeaWd, evolution in S8/Omega_m0 is expected.
@VivPoulin@DScol@160GHz@cosmosgalli Yet to read the paper. We will explain next week why H0 tension is an intrinsic property of LCDM. It's the model telling you it is breaking down. This precludes systematics.
