ENDSARS LEKKI TOLL GATE: NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20, 2020
Today, October 20, 2026, marks the sixth anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shootings, a painful reminder of the price Nigerian youths paid in their demand for a better country.
On that fateful night, peaceful #EndSARS protesters were met with gunfire. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the nation was left with questions about justice, accountability, and the sanctity of human life.
We must never forget. We must never normalise injustice.
As we remember the victims, I reaffirm my belief that a New Nigeria is possible—a country where citizens are protected, not brutalised; where young people are heard, not silenced; and where government power is exercised with responsibility and respect for human rights.
Nigeria must become a nation where no citizen is punished for demanding good governance and a better future.
May the souls of the departed continue to rest in peace. May their sacrifice strengthen our resolve to build a Nigeria where this tragedy will never be repeated.
A New Nigeria is POssible. A Nigeria where every life matters. -PO
Having character like Tinubu at the leadership position is a very big mistake we all must collectively refuse to accept!
He has poisoned and damaged the country by elevating reprobates and morally bankrupts who are ravaging the country.
We must resist them come 2027!
Six Years After #EndSARS, Sanwo-Olu, Bola Tinubu and the Entire APC Government’s Hands Still Stained With Blood Of Nigerian Youths Killed For Demanding Justice https://t.co/m16uxcr2tm
ABİKE DABIRI-EREWA, YOU CANNOT LAUGH AT ETHNIC HATE AND THEN HIDE BEHIND SEMANTICS!
Madam, you are not just an ordinary social media user. You are the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, a public official serving under President Bola Tinubu. Your office demands sensitivity, responsibility and respect for every Nigerian, regardless of ethnicity.
So, when you amplify a post describing Igbo people as monkeys, children of gorillas and bastards, and accompany it with laughing emojis, you cannot expect Nigerians to pretend nothing happened simply because you did not personally write the original insult.
You may not have authored the hate speech, but you chose to amplify it. That is precisely what you need to explain.
Your defence that you did not personally call Igbo people those names does not answer the central question: why did you repost that message with laughter in the first place?
And what makes this particularly troubling is the government you represent. This is a government whose officials routinely demand respect for the President and insist that public discourse must be responsible. Yet, when a senior public official is confronted with a controversy involving an ethnic insult, the public deserves more than an argument over who typed the words.
If the same conduct were directed at your own ethnic group, would you consider it harmless because the person sharing it did not originate the insult?
Nigeria belongs equally to the Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Middle Belt communities and every other ethnic nationality. No public official should treat ethnic humiliation as entertainment.
Madam Abike, this is not about escaping blame through technicalities. It is about responsibility for what you choose to amplify.
You owe the Igbo people and Nigerians at large an unreserved public apology. Not another explanation designed to narrow the accusation. Not an attempt to make the controversy about who misunderstood whom. An apology that acknowledges the hurt caused and recognises the responsibility that comes with your office.
Public office is a position of trust, not a licence to dismiss legitimate public outrage.
If you expect Nigerians to respect the office you occupy, you must also respect the people whose interests that office is meant to serve.
Solomon Dalung Esq.
As with every country in the world, U.S. foreign policy is governed by its national interests. Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT) knows this very well, which is why his number one priority was to convince the United States that his reelection was in its national interest, thereby allowing him to rig the upcoming election without fear of consequences.
Former Vice President @atiku understood this and gave two instructions: Aggressively counter President Tinubu's lies to the United States government and fight for the right of Nigerians to have a free and fair election. By the grace of God, we have destroyed President Tinubu's agenda in the United States and will continue to fight on behalf of the Nigerian people in the halls of Congress, the courts, and the White House.
Nevertheless, we cannot do it alone. We need every Nigerian who is sick and tired of living under a Tinubu government that has kept over 141 million Nigerians in poverty to stand up and not allow President #Tinubu to steal your future and your right to vote. Only Nigerians can truly save Nigeria. Fight, fight, fight for your future! We believe in you!

The power to change their political future rests in the hands of the #Nigerian people, and their hands alone. Nevertheless, it is essential that the United States, as it has always done, stand with the Nigerian people as they fight for democracy and the rule of law.
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT), who is fighting in @uscourts to prevent the release of his alleged @FBI and @DEAHQ heroin-trafficking files, has reportedly weaponized Nigeria’s law enforcement, judiciary, and electoral institutions to rig the upcoming presidential election.
These acts by President #Tinubu are a direct and clear threat to the national security and interests of the United States in Nigeria and the region. As in #Tiananmen Square in 1989, Nigerians are risking their lives for democracy. The #American government must stand with them.

President @realDonaldTrump’s agenda for tomorrow was just announced. It is a shame that, after spending $9 million, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@OfficialABAT) and the Nigerian Presidency got their asses kicked by Dr. Von Batten.
We recommend that the Nigerian Vice President (@officialSKSM) pay an extra $9 million and try to sneak in for a selfie. Nigerian President Bola #Tinubu, the man who is alleged to have been instrumental in smuggling heroin (poison) into our country, has no right to be in the same room or city as the President of the United States.

Today, our proposed amicus curiae filing was formally received by the Clerk of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in Greenspan v. Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys et al. We ask the Court for permission to present an additional perspective on Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s (@officialABAT) asserted privacy interests and the Nigerian Presidency’s extraordinary decision to issue an official Statehouse Statement publicly discussing the very FBI and DEA records President #Tinubu is asking a U.S. federal court to protect.
Our position is simple: you cannot have it both ways. You cannot invoke privacy before a United States federal court while using the power of the Nigerian Presidency to publicly characterize those same investigative records and tell the world what they supposedly contain. We are asking the Court to consider the Presidency’s own public actions when weighing President #Tinubu’s asserted privacy interests against the public’s legitimate interest in understanding what the @FBI, @DEAHQ, and @TheJusticeDept did in connection with these drug-trafficking investigative records.
We fully expect President Bola #Tinubu and the other parties to challenge this filing for one reason or another. That is entirely expected. Our primary objective is to ensure that the Court is made aware of the Nigerian Presidency’s public statement and our argument that it potentially weakens President Tinubu’s asserted claim of privacy. If the Court permits our amicus brief to be formally docketed and considered, we will welcome that decision. Regardless of the outcome of our motion, we have placed this significant development before the Court so that it can be considered, if the Court deems appropriate, when ruling on the issues before it.

Update: We have now been informed that @uscourts Judge Howell this morning granted the @FBI permission to provide the court with the documents in private and has given the @FBI, @DEAHQ, @TheJusticeDept, and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT) until August 28, 2026 (“and no later”), to file their opposition to the release of Tinubu's alleged drug-trafficking records. I stress the judge’s “no later” comment because the court has reached its limit and is making it clear that the FBI must now convince the court why the documents are too sensitive to be released.
Unlike the @JoeBiden@TheJusticeDept (DOJ), where the DOJ and FBI blocked, stonewalled, and refused to admit they had any sensitive drug-trafficking-related documents on President #Tinubu, the DOJ and FBI under President @realDonaldTrump are moving fast and being transparent as they move through the process. The #FBI has now admitted that it has highly sensitive drug-trafficking-related information about President #Tinubu. By admitting this, we now know Tinubu's claim that the case was simply about civil forfeiture is untrue. The FBI does not deem civil cases highly sensitive and seeks to present the evidence to the judge in private. This is usually done in high-level drug cases where the goal is to protect the agency's dealings with the criminal informant. This ties into the allegation that President #Tinubu ratted out his alleged co-drug traffickers in exchange for immunity from prosecution.
The #FBI admitting in court that it has sensitive information on President #Tinubu and requiring the court to review the documents privately before any court order ordering their release is given aligns with what our friend in the Trump Administration has told us: We will follow the law, but we do not protect drug traffickers. The FBI is following standard procedures for protecting informants, but is also openly communicating that President #Tinubu's claim of innocence is far from the truth. We thank President Trump and the White House senior staff for moving this case forward after three years of stalling and for being fully transparent, unlike the Biden DOJ, which did not acknowledge it had sensitive information on Tinubu.

Update: We spent the weekend carefully reviewing the U.S. government documents provided to us. We found that #Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu (@OfficialABAT) is lying to the world. For example, this weekend, President #Tinubu and his associates claimed that the heroin-trafficking records have not been released solely because @TheJusticeDept (DOJ) and the @FBI object to their release to protect methods and save lives. But we found that President #Tinubu’s own October 23, 2023, motion to the court shows that he personally entered the federal case to prevent records concerning him from being disclosed and that he is communicating with the federal defendants: DOJ, FBI, DEA, and CIA.
In his October 23, 2023, motion, President #Tinubu argued that the records contained private financial and “law-enforcement information” and invoked FOIA and privacy protections (see pages 3–4). Tinubu went even further, arguing that the federal agencies (#DOJ, #FBI, @DEAHQ, and @CIA) themselves were not adequately representing (protecting) his personal privacy interests in court, which is why he wanted to participate directly in the lawsuit (see pages 5–6). But here is the smoking gun: Tinubu specifically requested 30 days before the documents were released to consult with the federal agencies (DOJ, FBI, DEA, and CIA) about what they intended to produce and release publicly (see page 7).
The court granted #Tinubu’s request to intervene on November 27, 2023. It was at this point that we believe the Biden DOJ went from stonewalling to absolutely blocking the release of the Tinubu heroin-trafficking files. So, in very plain English: Fact 1: President #Tinubu filed a motion in U.S. federal court and asked to be allowed into the case so that he could fight the disclosure of IRS and federal law-enforcement records concerning him. Fact 2: He specifically asked for time to “consult” with the federal defendants (#DOJ, #FBI, #DEA, and #CIA) about the records they intended to release and to assert additional protections and exemptions (see page 7). Nigerians, this is your President.
@realDonaldTrump@JDVance@SecRubio@SusieWiles47@HouseForeignGOP@HouseForeign@SFRCdems@StateDept@AsstSecStateAF@SenateForeign@SenTedCruz@RepBrianMast@SusieWiles@RepGregSteube@RepJames@Jim_Jordan@RepRaskin@FBIDirectorKash@ChuckGrassley@SenatorDurbin@HouseJudiciary@JudiciaryGOP@FoxNews@washingtonpost@joerogan@joeroganhq@seanhannity@IngrahamAngle@chicagotribune@AGToddRokita@GovBraun@tmhuston@INHouseGOP@indgop@SOSDiegoMorales@indystar@JudgeJeanine@GOP@Republicans
President Bola #Tinubu vs. #Fact#Tinubu: It was just a civil case.
#Fact: The FBI and DEA do not investigate civil cases and ask judges for sensitive private viewing.
#Tinubu: I am not trying to stop the release of the drug-trafficking documents.
#Fact: Tinubu petitioned the court, and consulted with the FBI, and DEA to stop the release of the documents.
#Tinubu: I was not criminally charged with a crime.
#Fact: Alleged turned-criminal informants are not usually charged with a crime.
In conclusion, President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT) is so innocent that he has spent millions making sure the documents that can prove his innocence are never released.
Today is the court deadline for the @FBI to privately provide the court with sensitive documents related to the alleged #heroin trafficking activities of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT). At the same time, we recently learned that, before the August recess, members of Congress were briefed on the growing drug trafficking problem in Nigeria under President Tinubu, raising serious concerns about Nigeria's emerging reputation among key members of Congress as a narco state.
Those concerns are not developing in a vacuum. One congressional report dated July 2026 states that “Nigeria is a source, transit point, and market for illicit recreational drugs (e.g., cocaine, #heroin, and methamphetamine).” As we reported last month, Congressman @RepRonnyJackson also sounded the alarm, during a discussion with Dr. Von Batten about the heroin trafficking allegations involving President Tinubu, over Nigeria potentially becoming a hub for South American drug cartels.
This brings us to an important question that we intend to raise during our meetings with members of Congress next week: Is #Nigeria slowly becoming a preferred destination for South American drug cartels because they are aware of President #Tinubu's alleged drug trafficking past, or is there something deeper or entirely different driving this development? We do not yet know the answer, but these are precisely the questions that the United States Government must ascertain as it examines both the allegations surrounding President #Tinubu and the broader drug trafficking situation in Nigeria.
