Chief Minister today launched ‘Checklist of Mammals of Jammu and Kashmir, India’ and interacted with a delegation of wildlife ecologists. He appreciated their efforts and emphasized the importance of research and conservation to preserve J&K’s rich biodiversity.
@listenshahid Congratulations for this important paper sir! But I am confused with the numerical figures: the Abstract mentions 62,000 t CO₂ avoided from household duplication, whereas the Results present estimates of ~3,300 t CO₂ that too annual, I suppose? Or am I missing something here?
Our paper titled 'A checklist of mammals of Jammu & Kashmir, India' in the Journal of Threatened Taxa documents 111 mammal species from J&K using museum specimens and verified records. 🐾
