The greatest threat to a man is comfort and coasting.

It'll find you when you think you're worthless and think settling is okay. It will find you when you think you've made it. It will find you when you think you're old enough and deserve to rest.

We aren't here to be comfortable. The challenge is the point, and the greatest discomfort you will ever find is when you try to avoid it.

BUT...The highest level of nirvana you will ever achieve is when you openly embrace it, fight your lower self and become who you SHOULD be.

You can rest when your dead and that's a good thing.

I see this in our own creative strategists too, when we break down ads.

It comes down to one thing: an obsession with direct response.

When you come from that world, you learn all the fundamentals. The lead, the background story, the unique mechanism, future pacing, loss aversion...

All the copy and psychology to convince someone. And that stuff works when your avatar is cold, unaware, or problem-aware.

The problem is DR people apply this to everything. The techniques feel like superpowers, so we assume if we just stack them on any persona, it works. That's how you end up overwhelming a buyer who was already ready.

What we teach our CS instead is start from the avatar, not the techniques.

When you do your research, Reddit, YouTube, comments, surveys, the Zoom calls we record with customers, build a small persona around that specific concept you trying to build Who is he, what's he saying, what's his awareness level for this exact cocnept, what's he actually looking for, how does he describe his problem. Then you build for that.

That's also why I'm big on sub avatars and dedicated funnels. Each persona gets his own funnel built for where he actually is.

So many Discord servers are filled with people asking how to improve Claudes thinking skills or accuracy when writing ads.

"Claude is so stupid, it told me to scale and I ended up with a 0.3 ROAS😭"

Those decisions come from YOUR BRAIN! Use it!

You are CEO, not Claude. It's a tool, not a brain.

Don't be afraid to make your own decisions.

The bar is so low today because people lost the ability to think.

Literally can't fire a brain signal before asking Claude.

I'm still learning this currently, but I try to ban questions completely from any AI until I give it a thought/attempt first.

Same general rule applies for ecom.

I got stuck for months avoiding the things you "shouldn't do" OR "doesn't work" OR "waste of time" OR "[INSERT BELIEF]"

How do you know before testing it?

Test that ad. Test that angle. Test that LP.

Test everything.

Meta GIVES you the answer.

I like to see the problems others face at my level, when reading through Discord. It's not all noise.

A lot of it is relatable, and I've received amazing advice asking for help from their chats.

But so much has turned into reliance recently, it's hard to find some others actually trying.

I'd rather speak to someone doing $10k a month putting in actual effort, than someone doing $50k a month just Claude prompting/Ripping their way through.

One eventually succeeds, and the other falls.

Also look at “Unique link clicks” instead of just link clicks.
