. @chamath puts it brilliantly why no one knows beyond a point. End effect is traditional software/SaaS companies are going up one day, the next day it’s AI based.

What no one talks about GCCs is there are Indians on the other side too. It is not just about language anymore. I know fairly large companies where more than 80% of US IT workforce is Indians.
Not complaining. Just stating a fact.
There was lot of skepticism that India will start losing GCC jobs to countries like Argentina.. honestly I also thought same.
A Fortune 500 company in its dream will not find 30000 skilled English speaking highly qualified people under one roof in any country…. So no .. no other country can take GCC jobs from India.
IMO degree of lock-in can’t be as bad as enterprise middleware (read Java stacks of 2000-2010). Enterprises are so used to such switching that used to run as multi year projects. Still does.
This one will be multi-months with far better engineering. Good enough for most enterprise use-cases. Plus phased switching is an option. You don’t have to move the whole monolith of harnesses/evals in one shot.
@SureshKBN What looks flashy today is a choke point of tomorrow. That’s how Hyderabad is growing. Good drone shots but drive for a week and you would hate the lack of basic planning.
@fight_the_devil@arunbothra You are overreacting, reboot bhai.
Same court if grants her bail tomorrow, people will start screaming injustice.
Bhavnao ko samjho
@PositiveGamma@abhymurarka This FDE stuff is enough for market to start valuing desi IT. These fancy pants will come with 5x price tag.
They can make potato chips. Our guys will sell dum aloo, aloo tamatar, aloo methi, aloo baingan, chi bhaaji, aloo chole and so on.
@SureshKBN Directionally US dominates, Kosbi follows. Tactical moves are fine but overall the sentiments are turning bearish.
Imo Market has moved on from week old tax on unrealised gains news.
I am one of those judging Siya with all that you mentioned but for different reasons.
Irrespectice of being boy or a girl, an upper income unemployed 20 years old dropout, living in tier-1 urban setup, partying, drinking, visiting Singapore clearly is not living in a typical patriarchal household. It tells that she had a “voice”. Despite that she chose to plan/murder a person than use that voice.
One can argue that patriarchy is a spectrum but think where in the spectrum she actually belonged. People would be a bit forgiving if it happened in a remote poor village.
Directly or indirectly, Everyone’s counting on enterprises to fund AI, which in turn are struggling to justify cost.
So what they do next. Look for those with Redhat playbook around open weight models. And that my friends will eat significant pie of this business. Mostly hyperscalers. Frontier models will have tough time justifying their valuation as they get reserved only for “advanced” usecases.
Only layer that’s kinda in a stable trajectory is AI Infrastructure. You need it for all the varieties of implementation. So party may slow down a bit but overall it ain’t dead anytime soon. Unless these weird circular deals start toppling the whole thing down.
Good news from Kirloskar oil KOEL. If it converts to actual revenue, KOEL can win meaningful share at the 2500 kVA hyperscale tier against incumbents.
BUT who is behind HyperNext (a few months old entity) is a TBD.
