Seems to be some confusion about this post.
*Ireland has the 3rd lowest diesel prices in west Europe, with only Italy and Spain cheaper.
*Ireland has the 6th lowest petrol prices in west Europe, with Austria, Sweden, Luxembourg, Italy and Spain cheaper.
*Geographically, countries that were once behind the iron curtain are in central and eastern Europe. They have lower average incomes, which is why their governments tend to tax fuel less.
Told my wife to have dinner ready at 6 or I will obliterate her entire civilization.
She now charges me a fee to use the bathroom, that used to be free, and I didn't get dinner. WTF
Always go to the funeral. Always go to the hospital. You don't need to know what to say.
In times of profound crisis, people don't remember your words, they only remember whether you showed up for them at their lowest moment.
Not sure that Irish public know that at a time of global fossil fuel crisis IRL may turn away tankers & offer them to the global markets & that the refinery will run out of storage so again may turn away supplies. Protesters have every right to protest but not harm the country
I work in a hospital, most of my colleagues are from all over the world, cleaners, household staff, doctors and nurses
We were checking how everyone would get home safely, without being intimidated or frightened
Ireland shouldn’t be like that
These two tankers are waiting at Whitegate 👇 Demurrage is basically a charge you get hit with when a tanker is stuck waiting instead of loading or unloading on time. At a place like Whitegate refinery in Cork, if a crude tanker can’t offload because of delays, the ship is still costing money every hour it sits there doing nothing.
It’s usually around €3,000 to €7,000 an hour, sometimes more depending on the size of the ship and the market. So even a short delay can quickly turn into tens or hundreds of thousands of euro, and that cost normally lands on the oil company that chartered the tanker.
@flyosity I would add, keep a small blk book with all your email passwords, accounts, shares, savings, life polices, pensions. Etc What ever you have thats relevant. As all instutions are going digital its very hard to know where to look or go if you dont know the password for emails.
Just received this video of the Kids in our Hind Rajab Centre, Nuseirat, Gaza showing their support to the Ireland football team. Sensational.
C’mon Ireland!

China is using folding mobile photovoltaic power stations, long strips of solar panels that unfold to quickly generate electricity, bringing clean power to construction sites, disaster zones, and remote areas.
It's Friday and my parents are coming over to hang out. They'll play with my son. We'll have dinner. I'll sauna with my dad. I wish someone had told me sooner: Nothing improves quality of life more than proximity to people you love. It’s worth more than any job will ever pay you.
Naval Ravikant: "You're going to die. It's all going to zero. What's there to stress about?"
"Stress is when your mind has two conflicting desires at once. You want to be liked, but you want to do something selfish. You don't want to go to work, but you want to make money. You have two conflicting desires, and that's stress."
Naval explains the difference between stress and anxiety:
"Anxiety is this pervasive, unidentifiable stress where you're stressed out all the time and you're not even sure why. The reason is you have so many unresolved problems that have piled up in your life, you can no longer identify what the problems are. There's this mountain of garbage in your mind. A little bit is poking out the top like an iceberg; that's anxiety. But underneath, there's a lot of unresolved things."
He shares his personal anxiety resolver:
"One big anxiety resolver for me is just ruminating on death. You're going to die. It's all going to zero. You cannot take anything with you. If you can keep that idea in front of you at all times, what's there to stress about?"
Naval reframes what "wasted time" really means:
"What is wasted time? Everything is wasted time in a sense because nothing matters in the ultimate. But in each moment, it's the only thing that matters. So if you're doing something you want to do and you're fully there for it it's not wasted time. If your mind is running away, wishing you were somewhere else, anticipating the future, regretting the past, that's wasted time. That's time you're not present for."
He concludes:
"People get worried about dying and no longer being here. But they don't realize that so much of their life is spent not being here in any case."
This is what an EXCEPTIONAL mindset thinks like and sounds like.
So impressive from a 22 years old.
Not only you CAN control what you think, and how you think it and why, but you SHOULD.
See your mind as a skill and practice it as such.
