A few months ago I was browsing google images looking at p53 western blots in the SK-OV-3 cell line for an unrelated project. I noticed an unusual western blot hosted on Thermo Fisher's website which I posted on social media. Usually I just post weird blots to PubPeer. 👇

New preprint from Josefine Striepen and team on APOBEC3A regulation in cancer.
We find that rare, transient squamous-state excursions activate APOBEC3A, potentially explaining how brief cell-state transitions drive APOBEC mutagenesis.

Excited to share our collaborative work with the @TonyMustoe and @SuperSciJew labs, led by the fearless @RitwikaBose15.
In this study, we developed RAID-MAP, an approach to map RNA structure within biomolecular condensates in living cells.

Excited to share our latest paper, out today @CellCellPress. We found that large pieces of the human genome can transfer between cells upon direct contact, endowing recipient cells with heritable phenotypic changes. (1/7)

🔥 A new study from our lab, led by star student @LVSoles, reveals splicing and 3′ processing aren't just coordinated — they're actively competing. Disrupting splicing (via U1, U2, U2AF, SF3b) unleashes thousands of intronic polyadenylation sites and triggers widespread premature transcription termination. 🧬 #RNAbiology #Transcription
