The International Labour Organization (@ilo), under the PROSPECTS refugee livelihoods programme (@IloProspects) and in partnership with the International Training Centre of the ILO (@ITCILO), is implementing the Workverse Virtual Reality (VR) Project, an innovation initiative that leverages VR technology to promote social dialogue, workforce development, and policy engagement in Uganda.
As part of this initiative, the ILO, ITCILO and @UICTug will conduct a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop in Kampala, aimed at equipping local trainers with the skills to deliver VR-based training and social dialogue sessions.

Happening Now: Training engineering students @UICTug to use AVR technology (virtual reality)which is an interactive and immersive way of learning. It provides a foundational understanding of concepts, offers hands-on experience, and covers a wide range of applications. AVRs are supported by extensive open-source tools and resources, facilitating learning and innovation.
The skills gained are industry-relevant and transferable to more complex systems, making AVR training crucial for developing essential skills in embedded systems and engineering.
we should not forget to implement AR/VR devices & applications to serve as assistive technologies for people with disabilities, making physical environments more accessible by adding virtual elements.
