Dear @MichelleObama meet Malawi’s Susan Namangale. She is leading our @thegiftofchess efforts to distribute 1 million chess sets global by 2030, using chess as a simple tool to expand opportunities for all. @melindagates
This is her story.
The Gateway Mall could have been a vibrant place on a Sunday. With pop up food and drinks stalls, arts and craft market,, poetry platforms, easy music playing, photo booths, fashion design showcases with a community led approach. But....
Some Christians weaponize scripture to judge others.
That leads to people avoiding Jesus & church.
Use the Bible to look INWARD & examine yourself.
•Plant seeds
•Stop judging
•Love everyone
•Meet people where they are
Why would outsiders come to church if they always felt judged & unworthy?
The key to replacing bad habits is to replace them with better habits:
- Instead of binging Netflix, read a book
- Instead of watching cable news, call a friend
- Instead of Zooms, have a walking phone call
- Instead of drinking beer, try tea or Topo Chico
3 Lessons my Dad taught me:
1) God says turn the other cheek, but if they’re brave enough to hit that one, too, make sure they don’t ever get up
2) You don’t need a lot of friends, you need the ones that will come get you at 4am
3) If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right
The whole Martha Chizuma saga illustrates the cowardly nature of our president. He knew and probably approved the prosecutions, acting through others for plausible deniability. I hope Chizuma prosecutes these deplorables but one thing is clear, we need better leadership.

@woviha@onjezani Great initiative ..but let’s improve our standards. These people are being paid to do this thing professionally— they are not doing us any favors..
@ebmilanzi Kudos to the girls.. But these girls confidence and pitching skills are not the result of our rural primary schools. These girls come from urban settings and could have gone to private primary schools.
