We initially thought GLP-1s like Ozempic, Tirzapeptide and Retatutride just reduced food cravings. Now, we know they work for alcohol, cocaine, gambling and other addictions too
But do you know what runs on exactly the same circuit?
Falling in love
GLP-1 receptors sit in the exact same brain regions that light up when you’re in love
The insane thing about them is that they don’t just suppress appetite. They suppress wanting in general, including romantic craving another person
Something like 60M+ people are now on anti-desire drugs and it happened in the blink of an eye
I predict in the coming years, we will see people on these drugs be less able to fall in love. We will also see them fall out of love, or be unable to feel it, in relationships that were previously great
If your girlfriend or boyfriend started taking GLP1s and your relationship started failing, there’s a good chance that’s why
We have three cool announcements today:
(1) @OpenAI is launching commerce in ChatGPT. Their new Instant Checkout is powered by @stripe.
(2) We're releasing the Agentic Commerce Protocol, codeveloped by Stripe and OpenAI.
(3) @stripe is launching an API for agentic payments, called Shared Payment Tokens.
It's clear that internet purchasing modalities are going to change a lot, and we're excited to start to lay some of the foundations.

@isaacfrench_ respect. massive setback from key platform—essentially your whole revenue stream—can break most.
kudos to you & Helen for flipping the script.
i am sure it must have been difficult time—but made it happen.💪
Note to self:
At an individual level, new leadership can intoxicate many with possibility—fresh faces at the helm promising bright horizons & bold futures. but history whispers a harder truth.
Although some changes can fuel one’s efforts, Individual change isn't some mystical force that descends. it's built in the trenches, by individuals who refuse to wait for permission.
agency isn't granted—it's seized.
nothing "just happens." that's the beautiful, brutal truth of all transformation. your moves, your choices, your willing hands—that's where real change lives.
in essence, do your shit. Let’s go!
Good point: Is this what you're referring to as an "agent platform," illustrated in Startup A?
Startup A (Generic Platform):
Builds a platform that lets users create "AI agents" for generic tasks, using GPT-4 API, Claude, etc. to power conversations—something foundational providers could easily incorporate.
vs.
Startup B (Specialized Solution):
Builds AI agents specifically for healthcare diagnostics, integrating with specific diagnostic tools and hospital systems with deep domain expertise. Moreover, Startup B offers superior customization compared to foundational providers and moves faster on domain-specific innovations.
@dickiebush Churreria El Moro - this is a churro place, it’s an institution, people to come in enjoy fresh churro and coffee . Close to some fantastic museums.
@signulll Some relevant visuals on this trend:
(Just a note - I saved these graphs in my notes but don't have the original source handy. Full credit to whoever created them initially!)
@PriteshSMB@SunShakSunday Agree with this, something I have seen many do. With weekly connect and reporting, may be even management company. I’ve observed for many it’s not a motel, it’s a legacy - something they can pass down to generations. And most uncs would say in Gujarati (vekai nai)
@signulll Appeara to be a pattern:
enthusiastic/reluctant embrace → emerging issues → facade of public support masks growing private doubts → then rapid collapse as compliance networks flip, hidden opposition surfaces, and institutional support dissolves..
@signulll 💯 A California paradox - quite a a high tolerance threshold—but unfortunate events like this become revelatory event for larger systematic issues.
@paulg@ZvonimirFras Love the space.
