I'm pleased to announce a new collaboration between @Kleros_io and the Canadian Institute for International Law Expertise (@Cifile_Canada)! 🇨🇦

We will start working together on research, education, and practical initiatives at the intersection of international law, dispute resolution, and decentralized justice .

This collaboration establishes a framework for:

- Joint research on decentralized justice and arbitration models
- Academic cooperation, courses, workshops, and events
- Exchange of expertise in international law, legal innovation, and technology
- Exploring the use of decentralized dispute resolution mechanisms for appropriate cases

CIFILE brings deep expertise in international law and global legal capacity-building, while Kleros contributes open-source infrastructure for decentralized dispute resolution.

Together, we aim to advance experimentation and dialogue on how emerging technologies can complement existing legal frameworks!

Congratulations to Dr. Yann Aouidef (@AouidefY), who defended his PhD « L’usage de la blockchain dans la résolution des litiges » – a CIFRE thesis between Paris-Panthéon-Assas (Centre de Recherches en Droit et Économie) and Kleros, covering protocol design, the role of jurors (pseudonymity, SBTs, selective KYC), and experimental evidence from 300+ participants on Schelling-point voting and incentive robustness.

This is core research for tomorrow’s onchain courts.
