Deleted my previous post asking for help. My parents found someone with a satellite communicator and were able to send me a message that they are safe!
Was on a video call with my parents, who were showing me the beautiful scenery around their hotel and got cutoff right after my mom said it seemed like an earthquake was happening. They're at the Taroko Gorge in Taiwan. I'm sure they're okay, but this is insane.

The interior of the cell is a busy place, as seen by grazing incidence structured illumination microscopy at 30 frames per minute:
Lysosomes (green) can become corralled by the endoplasmic reticulum (ER, magenta), but can also remodel the ER when they are actively transported at high speed along microtubules (MTs, yellow). ER tubules are also remodeled directly when they associate with the growing or shrinking ends of MTs.

As a 1st-year med-onc fellow in 2020, I received the Ladies Leukemia League (LLL) grant. Despite its modest sum (~$30K), it was pivotal for my research and securing further funding. Fast forward to 2024, LLL once again believed in a new idea of mine, uniquely funding it.
Open-ST looks insane. For my non-tech friends - this technology looks tissue sections at a cellular level in 3D. This is stuff that i never dreamed would be a reality back in the college days! #singlecellgenomicsday
Recent immune dictionary paper showed how rare cell populations produce a high number of cytokines highlighting the importance of id'ing rare cell types - which @CalebLareau is covering right now at #singlecellgenomicsday
