There is nothing more important to my leader @mkstalin our LoP @Udhaystalin and me than #TamilNadu’s overall growth and especially industrial growth.

Every investment, every factory, every job created in our state makes us happy. Yes, irrespective of which govt is in place.

That is precisely why today’s claim of 97 MoUs deserves greater transparency.

The very fact that the press was not allowed to take part in today's conclave raises serious doubts !

The business press in Chennai has been one of Tamil Nadu’s strongest partners in promoting our investment story for decades. Why were they kept out of the conclave and why is there still no official list of the 97 MoUs ?

From the information that could be pieced together, the following picture is revealing:

• Almost 70 MoUs, accounting for around 75% of the investment value and 83% of the jobs, appear to be existing companies expanding or investment leads already put into the pipeline by the Dravdian Model govt of Honourable former #CMMKStalin.

• ₹1,000 crore attributed to Titan is from the state’s existing relationship with the company through TIDCO.

• Even if we generously include every investment that is new or potentially new, it amounts to only 24 MoUs, which is around 23% of the value and 15% of the jobs.

Let me be absolutely clear:

An expansion is welcome.
A converted investment lead is welcome. Every job is welcome.
But an investment already cultivated, negotiated or announced during the previous government cannot suddenly become a “new achievement” merely because it is presented at a new conclave.

Even though TNs industrial growth has always hit newer greater heights whenever the DMK was in power, Tamil Nadu’s industrial success is not the property of any single political party and the DMK respected this.

That is why we showcased and celebrated the strengths of our multi-talented industrial ecosystem, our Industrialists and our Investors.

The previous government built an ecosystem, attracted investors, signed MoUs, nurtured leads and created the conditions for companies to expand. The present government should also be judged fairly for what it newly brings in and credited for what it actually delivers.

This is also why the point raised by the Association of Indian Entrepreneurs today deserves attention:

MoUs → Investment → Production → Jobs → MSME Opportunities.

Jobs jobs jobs...at the MSME LEVEL.
That is the real metric.

Release the list of companies signed today to the press. Let them examine it. Let the people know what is genuinely new, what is an expansion and what was already in the pipeline.

If the numbers are as impressive as the advertisements claim, transparency can only make the achievement stronger.

Tamil Nadu deserves nothing less.

எங்களது கோவை நகரம் , தற்போது கொலைகளின் நகரமாக மாறிவிட்டது…
சிறிதேனும் மனசாட்சி இருந்தால் தனிக்கவனம் செலுத்துங்கள்.

தமிழ்நாட்டில் சென்னைக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக தொழில்நகரமாகவும் , தொழில்நுட்ப நகரமாகவும் விளங்கும் எங்களது கோவை. அமைதியான கோவை மாநகரம் தற்போது கொலை நகரமாக மாறிவிட்டது .. கடந்த 13 நாட்களில் மட்டும் கொடூரமான 4 கொலைகள் அடுத்தடுத்து கோவையில் அரங்கேறியுள்ளன.

கோவை பீளமேடு பகுதியில் நவீன் என்ற இளைஞரை 8 பேர் கொண்ட கும்பல் அடித்து கொலை செய்துள்ளனர். அந்த பரபரப்பு முடிவதற்குள் , கோவை கிணத்துகிடவு பகுதியில் அஸ்வின் என்ற இளைஞரை கொடூரமான முறையில் கொலை செய்தது மட்டும் அல்லாமல் , அதை செல்பி வீடியோவாக எடுத்து இணையத்திலும் வெளியிட்டனர். தமிழ்நாடே பதறிய அந்த கொலையின் ரத்தங்கள் மறைவதற்குள் கோவை , இந்துஸ்தான் கல்லூரியில் பயிலும் மாணவர் அமுதன் சக மாணவர்களால் அடித்துக் கொலை செய்துள்ளனர். போதை பொருள் தொடர்பாக தகவல் கொடுத்ததால் சக மாணவர்களால் அடித்துக்கொலை என்பதெல்லாம் கல்வி நிலையங்களை உங்கள் ஆட்சி என்ன திசையில் கொண்டு போக போகிறது என்பதற்கான சான்று.

கல்லூரி நிர்வாகம் ஒருபக்கம் இந்த கொலையை நியாயப்படுத்த முயல்கிறது என்றால் , மாண்பமை அமைச்சர் சட்டமன்றத்திலேயே இது முன்விரோதம் காரணமாக நடந்த கொலை என்று கடந்து போக துடிக்கிறார். இதற்கான நீதியே இன்னும் கிடைக்காத நிலையில் , கோவை , பாப்பநாயக்கன்பாளையம் சாந்தி என்ற பெண் கொடூரமான முறையில் கொலை என்ற செய்தி கோவை மக்களின் தலையில் இடியாய் இறங்கியுள்ளது.

இது இப்படித்தான் நடக்கு என்றால் பொதுச்சமூகம் நிச்சயம் சும்மா இருக்காது எலைட் முதல்வரே. பொதுமக்களை சந்திக்காமல் , போராட்ட களத்திற்கு வராமல் அரியனை ஏறியுள்ளீர்கள். பொதுமக்களை அருகில் கூட நெருங்க விடாமல் , 100 அடி தொலைவில் நின்று கையசைத்தால் நிர்வாகம் நடந்துவிடாது. சிறிதளவேனும் மனசாட்சி இருந்தால் , சட்டம் ஒழுங்கில் கவனம் செலுத்துங்கள். இல்லையேல் தமிழ்நாடும் இன்னொரு சுடுகாடாக மாறிவிடும்.

இறுதியாக ஒன்றே ஒன்று , அனைத்து நாட்களிலும் திரைக்கவர்ச்சி மட்டுமே உங்களை காப்பாற்றி வருகிறது. ஆனால் அனைத்து பொதுமக்களும் , இளைஞர்களும் உங்களது கண்மூடித்தனமான ரசிகர்கள் இல்லை என்பதை நினைவூட்ட விரும்புகிறேன்…

இங்கிலாந்து நாட்டில் உள்ள Manchester School of Architecture கல்வி நிறுவனத்தில் M.Arch படிக்க தேர்வான சென்னையைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவர் ஒருவருக்கு தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் “அண்ணல் அம்பேத்கர் அயலக உயர்கல்வித் திட்டத்தின்” கீழ் வழங்கப்பட்ட கல்வி உதவித்தொகையை நேரடியாக ஏற்க மறுத்துள்ள அந்த கல்வி நிறுவனம், இந்திய ஒன்றிய அரசின் மூலம் வழங்கப்பட்டால் மட்டுமே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியும் என்றும் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. இந்த விவகாரம் தொடங்கி ஒரு மாதகாலம் ஆகும் நிலையிலும் உரிய தீர்வு எட்டப்படாமல் இருப்பதாக கிடைக்கும் தகவல்கள் கவலையைத் தருகின்றன.

அதேபோல University of Leeds உள்ளிட்ட கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் உயர்கல்வி சேரவிருந்த சில மாணவர்களுக்கு அண்ணல் அம்பேத்கர் அயலக உயர்கல்வித் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் கல்வி உதவித்தொகை சென்று சேர்வதில் ஏற்பட்ட தாமதத்தினால் காலக்கெடு முடிந்து, சேர்க்கை தடைபட்டு இருப்பதாகவும் தெரியவருகிறது. மாணவர்களின் எதிர்கால நலன் கருதி இந்த பிரச்சனைகளை விரைவாக களைந்து உரிய நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என @CMOTamilnadu அவர்களை கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம்.

Guys, we are still living in a parallel world. TVK is clear about its objective and its support base. Specific clips from the assembly speech are being circulated, showing what their audience wanted and how TVK wanted to project to them.

The DMK and ADMK camps are circulating videos of the Minister's speech and the subsequent responses from their respective parties. I am not sure to what extent these videos are reaching those who are politically disengaged. It's tiring, but work hard.

மக்களவையில் ஒன்றிய பாஜக அரசு அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ள கனிம வளங்கள் (மேம்பாடு மற்றும் ஒழுங்குமுறை) திருத்த மசோதா- 2026, அரசியலமைப்பு உறுதி செய்யும் நிதிக் கூட்டாட்சி தத்துவத்தின் மீதான நேரடித் தாக்குதலாகும்.

ஒரு மாநிலம் கொண்டிருக்கும் கனிம வளங்கள் மூலம் எவ்வித வரி வருவாயும் அந்த மாநிலம் ஈட்ட முடியாத வகையில் திருத்தம் மேற்கொள்ளபட்டுள்ள இந்த மசோதாவானது, கடந்த 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலையில் உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தின் ஒன்பது நீதிபதிகள் அடங்கிய அரசியலமைப்பு அமர்வு, பட்டியல் II-ன் 50வது பிரிவின் கீழ், ஒன்றிய அரசு நிர்ணயிக்கும் ராயல்டியிலிருந்து தனித்து, கனிம வளங்கள் மற்றும் கனிமம் நிறைந்த நிலங்கள் மீது வரி விதிக்கும் அதிகாரம் மாநிலங்களுக்கு உண்டு என்று தெளிவாக உறுதி செய்த தீர்ப்பை மறுக்கிறது.

வருவாய் ஈட்டும் அதிகாரத்தை மாநிலங்களிடமிருந்து பறிக்கும் வகையில் இந்த சட்ட மசோதா கொண்டுவரப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தச் சட்டம் நடைமுறைக்கு வந்தால், தமிழ்நாடு சுமார் ரூ.3,200 கோடி வருவாயை இழக்கும் அபாயம் உள்ளது. அந்த வருவாய் மாநிலத்தின் வளர்ச்சித் திட்டங்களுக்கும் மக்கள் நலப் பணிகளுக்கும் பயன்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டியதாகும்.
மாநிலங்களின் இயற்கை வளங்களை மாநிலங்களே நிர்வகித்து, அதிலிருந்து கிடைக்கும் வருவாயை அந்தந்த மாநிலங்களே பயன்படுத்தும் உரிமையைப் பறித்து, அதிகாரத்தை ஒன்றியத்தில் குவிப்பது கூட்டாட்சியின் அடித்தளத்தையே பலவீனப்படுத்தும்.

சீர்திருத்தம் என்ற பெயரில் மாநிலங்களின் நிதி உரிமையைப் பறிப்பதை ஒருபோதும் நாம் ஏற்க முடியாது. தமிழ்நாட்டின் உரிமையையும், வருவாய் ஆதாரத்தையும் பாதிக்கும் இந்த மசோதாவை எதிர்த்து, மாநிலங்களின் நிதி சுயாட்சி மேலும் பறிபோகாமல் நாம் பாதுகாக்க வேண்டும்!
