During the meeting, our Executive Director @armanaly invited him to the second edition of Empowering Inclusion on 17 March 2026 and requested him to launch the Guidebook on Disability for Parliamentarians, to which he has graciously agreed. In January 2026, the Supreme Court ruled that menstrual health is a constitutional right, directly tied to every girl's right to education.

Legal protections now exist, but a ruling only becomes reality when communities know it, schools implement it, and people demand accountability.

If your school isn't meeting this standard, report it. Because no girl should have to choose between her dignity and her education.

Telling people with severe #depression to exercise because exercise is good for recovery from depression is fine. But clearly people giving out such advice have not experienced severe depression. Severe depression brings with it physical disability and complete lack of muscular strength.

One needs to first walk before one can run. Similarly, exercise is possible only when depressive symptoms reduce a bit.

That said, if you have depression of any level of severity, if you can just move a little, please do try to do that. If not, you're not a failure - if you survived today, that's enough. And then, tomorrow is another day! 🌸💫
