This week we presented campus a polls assignment where we conducted polls gauging perspectives of individuals on UNCCs campus regarding the perspectives on aging. It was interesting to C the wide range of viewpts & takes of both interviewers & interviewees. #advocacyinaging24

I was moved by the research done in "Transcending the Tragedy Discourse of Dementia" by Dr. Reed, Carson & Gibb. Its unsurprising to hear that the label of dementia followed the individuals living w/ it like a scarlet letter. Its a reminder to treat the person & not the diagnosis
