Founder DM I received today:
“Ready to show in a 15-minute call with NDA.”
Never ask investors to sign an NDA before a first meeting.
It’s not that they’re afraid of stealing your idea.
It’s that they see hundreds of companies every year, many working on similar problems.
Signing NDAs creates legal risk with almost no upside.
The result?
Most investors will decline the meeting before hearing the pitch.
@Dixit__Nikhil Collecting the prize fund before the tournament creates a huge working capital problem for organisers. Most of the sponsorship money is received after the event & thus having to submit the prize fund to AICF would create a huge issue for the organisers. AICF fees is ludicrous tho
@EmilSutovsky@ChessWatchCom Obviously, the Candidates and The Championship are by far the biggest events. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. Problem is how many of these viewers were brought in by FIDE or watched it on FIDE broadcasts. FIDE is way behind in these aspects.
We’re hiring at Campus Fund - a $100M fund investing in students, college dropouts, and recent graduates.
Looking for someone with 6-12 years of experience to work alongside me. High agency. Low ego. Gets things done. Finds solutions, not excuses.
This isn’t a “job.” It’s a mission. You need to be willing to go all out for the next 5 years, minimum. Make Campus Fund your priority.
We’re building the institution that powers the next generation of big companies out of India.
How to apply: Send a short video on why you want to join and what you bring to the table. No fancy production. Just be real.
Mail me at [email protected]
No video = auto reject.
Nobody handed me a playbook for starting a fund that invests in student founders. The category didn't exist in India. You either build the thing that doesn't exist yet, or you wait for someone else to do it and call them lucky.
