Auditor-general: Cash transfer office staff blocked efforts to verify N33.7bn disbursed to beneficiaries
The Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation (OAuGF) says there is insufficient evidence to show that N33.75 billion in cash transfers meant for 3.29 million vulnerable households in 2023 reached genuine beneficiaries.
The finding is contained in the OAuGF’s 2024 annual report on non-compliance and internal control weaknesses in ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) of the federal government, obtained by TheCable on Saturday.

A few days ago, Dr. Von Batten received unsolicited offers of $3 million, along with an invitation to a confidential meeting in London, from a highly placed individual whom we have been informed is connected to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT). We believe these offers were an attempt to persuade Dr. Von Batten to end our campaign concerning President #Tinubu’s alleged heroin-trafficking records.
Dr. Von Batten refused the offers, immediately preserved copies of the exchanges, and contacted members of former Nigerian Vice President @atiku’s campaign to determine the nature of the individual’s relationship with President #Tinubu. Shortly after the refusals, a smear campaign against Dr. Von Batten began. We will be providing the $3 million offer and related communications to the our friends at @TheJusticeDept and @FBI to protect our reputation and allow the appropriate authorities to review the matter.
We have a simple message for President Bola #Tinubu, the @OfficialAPCNg, and their associates: Thank you for the offer, but no thanks.

We have learned that Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT), Dr. Sunday Dare (@SundayDareSD), Special Adviser to President #Tinubu, and their supporters are deeply unhappy with us, particularly with our founder, Dr. Von Batten, over our work destroying their reported $9 million lobbying campaign to win over President @realDonaldTrump.
We understand their frustration, and we would like to play the world’s smallest violin for their sorrows.
Here are the facts: President #Tinubu’s planned @UN meeting with President #Trump is dead. The effort to secure President Trump’s support for #Tinubu has failed. The pushed White House meeting is not going to happen. The effort to secure U.S. support for #Tinubu’s presidential campaign has failed.
You spent millions of dollars and countless hours trying to shape Washington’s perception of President #Tinubu. If your response to failure is to invent false stories about our work and Dr. Von Batten, then you have learned nothing from that failure. We are just a lobbying firm. You are the Federal Government of Nigeria. Show some dignity when you lose.
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT) is Public Enemy Number 1 of the United States who has successfully escaped justice.
According to @TheJusticeDept, @FBI, and @DEAHQ, Nigerian President Bola #Tinubu was allegedly part of a criminal organization in the 1980s and 1990s that smuggled heroin from Nigeria into the United States.
We will never know how many innocent Americans died as a result of Nigerian President #Tinubu’s alleged #heroin trafficking. What we do know is that the DOJ under President @JoeBiden fought to keep records concerning President Tinubu’s alleged crimes from being released.
Call your Member of #Congress. Ask Congress to protect American families and children from alleged foreign drug traffickers like #Nigerian President Bola #Tinubu.

The FBI has 399 pages of records linked to our sitting president, including records described as relating to heroin-residue testing, controlled drug purchases, confidential informants, grand jury activity, surveillance, undercover operations and financial seizures. EVERY NIGERIAN SHOULD BE WORRIED!

Fear often makes the thing ahead of us look bigger than it really is.
“Fear comes to me the way it comes to you, but I move towards it.”
What scares you may be making noise, but that does not mean it has power over you.
Sometimes, the instruction is simple, MOVE TOWARDS IT.
The moment you stop retreating and begin confronting what has intimidated you, you may discover that the fear begins to disappear.
That thing you have been avoiding.
That conversation you have been afraid to have.
That step you have been afraid to take.
That assignment you keep postponing.
Don’t let fear decide your future.
what the devil tries to discourage you from doing may point you toward what God is calling you to do.
So, what are you afraid of?
Face it.
Confront it.
Trust God.
Take the step.
Because sometimes, the breakthrough is waiting on the other side of the fear.
FEAR FEARS YOU!

CONFIDENCE SPEAKS!
What will make people listen?
What will make your message carry weight?
What will make your product stand out?
If you are called to teach, teach with confidence. Jesus taught with such authority that people recognised the difference between His words and the teaching of the scribes and Pharisees.
Confidence gives your voice authority.
Confidence gives your message weight.
Confidence helps people believe in what you carry.
Don’t shrink back. Don’t apologise for what God has put inside you.
Step forward. Speak boldly. Serve confidently.

Sister Queen, who was brought from Mubi in Adamawa State, came into the service at The Glory Dome, Abuja, after battling paralysis for 10 years.
She had visited several hospitals, but no medical cause was found for her condition. For 10 years, she was unable to walk.
But during the service, God’s servant prayed for her, and the power of God came upon her!
Instantly, strength entered her feet and bones. She began to walk again, smiling for the first time in 10 years! 😭🙌🔥
What doctors could not do, God did!
The working of miracles is real! The power of God is still at work today!🙌🔥
To God alone be all the glory! Hallelujah! 🙏🔥

There is No Farmer-Herder Clash in the Middle Belt; We Are Systematically Being Eliminated From Our Home - Maton
It is not called a clash when someone attacks you at night repeatedly with no provocation and for no reason.

I have consistently continued to respectfully appeal to those in office today to prioritise reconstruction and maintenance of existing roads and other infrastructure over commencing new ones.
I left someone in Onitsha on Saturday night to take the first bus to Lagos on Sunday morning. Until I left Lagos at 8 pm yesterday, he had not arrived in Lagos. He only arrived in Lagos at about 2 pm today. A journey that usually takes a maximum of 8 hours now takes nearly two days.
This is not just about bad roads. It is about lost man-hours, stranded passengers sleeping on highways, wasted fuel, damaged vehicles, delayed goods, and businesses losing millions of naira.
Nigerians do not need new projects just for the headlines. We need functional roads that make life and economic activity possible.
A government must understand that infrastructure is not necessarily about the size of the project; it is about the number of lives and livelihoods it improves.
A new Nigeria is POSSIBLE, and Nigeria will be OK. -PO
