Our patta property in Semmanchery was incorrectly classified as “Sarkar Poromboke - Theru” during Town Survey without any notice. 5 years, several inspections and recommendations from Tahsildar, RDO Guindy, AD(Survey) and multiple clarifications later, file is still pending. Every single time, fresh requirements continue to emerge and the finish line keeps moving. Now the new ask is an NOC from GCC, to check if my private property is not a govt street. This ask never came up before, and this NOC could further delay the process for several months.
If private property can be converted into “Govt Street” without notice, why should citizens spend years proving that their own property belongs to them?
I dont want to play the blame game.
Just Seeking intervention and early disposal of this long-pending issue.
@CMOTamilnadu, It’s been more than 5 years sir. Please look into this matter and restore our patta. @Collr_Chn@sameerangs@chennaicorp
If the land is truly a Corporation road, how do the old revenue records, registered sale deed, patta all exist?
What is the value of the Tahsildar’s report, RDO South’s report and the report of the Additional Director(Survey & Settlement)?
And if all these enquiries support and recommend the correction, why do fresh conditions emerge only after every previous condition is satisfied?
Why do citizens suffer endlessly for department’s clerical mistakes?
When will governments start being accountable and time bound?
Seeking only justice and closure.

@Nupurkunia@OlaElectric@bhash@Nupurkunia Hi Nupur, I wanted to know if there is any platform where we can access such reports of institutions like Jefferies, Citi, JP morgan etc. (even if on paid basis)
Vamos, @RafaelNadal!
As you get ready to graduate from tennis, I’ve got a few things to share before I maybe get emotional.
Let’s start with the obvious: you beat me—a lot. More than I managed to beat you. You challenged me in ways no one else could. On clay, it felt like I was stepping into your backyard, and you made me work harder than I ever thought I could just to hold my ground. You made me reimagine my game—even going so far as to change the size of my racquet head, hoping for any edge.
I’m not a very superstitious person, but you took it to the next level. Your whole process. All those rituals. Assembling your water bottles like toy soldiers in formation, fixing your hair, adjusting your underwear... All of it with the highest intensity. Secretly, I kind of loved the whole thing. Because it was so unique—it was so you.
And you know what, Rafa, you made me enjoy the game even more.
OK, maybe not at first. After the 2004 Australian Open, I achieved the #1 ranking for the first time. I thought I was on top of the world. And I was—until two months later, when you walked on the court in Miami in your red sleeveless shirt, showing off those biceps, and you beat me convincingly. All that buzz I’d been hearing about you—about this amazing young player from Mallorca, a generational talent, probably going to win a major someday—it wasn’t just hype.
We were both at the start of our journey and it’s one we ended up taking together. Twenty years later, Rafa, I have to say: What an incredible run you’ve had. Including 14 French Opens—historic! You made Spain proud... you made the whole tennis world proud.
I keep thinking about the memories we’ve shared. Promoting the sport together. Playing that match on half-grass, half-clay. Breaking the all-time attendance record by playing in front of more than 50,000 fans in Cape Town, South Africa. Always cracking each other up. Wearing each other out on the court and then, sometimes, almost literally having to hold each other up during trophy ceremonies.
I’m still grateful you invited me to Mallorca to help launch the Rafa Nadal Academy in 2016. Actually, I kind of invited myself. I knew you were too polite to insist on me being there, but I didn’t want to miss it. You have always been a role model for kids around the world, and Mirka and I are so glad that our children have all trained at your academies. They had a blast and learned so much—like thousands of other young players. Although I always worried my kids would come home playing tennis as lefties.
And then there was London—the Laver Cup in 2022. My final match. It meant everything to me that you were there by my side—not as my rival but as my doubles partner. Sharing the court with you that night, and sharing those tears, will forever be one of the most special moments of my career.
Rafa, I know you’re focused on the last stretch of your epic career. We will talk when it’s done. For now, I just want to congratulate your family and team, who all played a massive role in your success. And I want you to know that your old friend is always cheering for you, and will be cheering just as loud for everything you do next.
Rafa that!
Best always, your fan,
Roger

My 2 bits : Markets know.
Markets are complex, forward discounting mechanisms that reflect oncoming events and trends.
An Israeli strike on Iran is imminent in the next three days. Iran has sworn instant, widespread retaliation if its religious/political leadership or nuclear facilities are targeted. The Israeli calendar holiday corresponding to last year’s holiday of October 7th 2023 starts on Wednesday night.
The US and European allies of Israel are trying to limit the conflict, with Anthony Blinken making yet another visit to Israel yesterday and then flying to Saudi Arabia.
Markets will be on edge.
Oversold Indian markets are seeing continued FII outflows.
In the US, the US Dollar index has risen to 104.1 while yields across the yield curve are up 30 to 50 basis points from the levels before the Fed rate cut of September. Fed speakers have been at pains to say that future rate cuts will be slow and calibrated.
All this is disruptive for EM flows.
China is also seeing outflows after the first two weeks post the stimulus announcement led to a massive inflow of USD 53 billion into Chinese stocks.
We have to wait for these geopolitical storms to work their damage through the global markets.
And keep in mind what India represents.
India represents the biggest opportunity to deliver growth, at massive scale in the world, for the next two decades. That creates great value for investors into Indian stock markets for years to come.
So, keep investing regularly and focus on your own financial goals. We can’t control global events, though we know the extreme market reactions that follow. Given that recoveries are also very sharp and concentrated into a few days, the bigger risk is that of being out of the markets.
Market timing works for very few investors and works consistently for none.
In that scenario, sound asset allocation and long-term investing is the best bet.
“Think India” for the long term in these trying times.
And avoid jumping all in when you see the sharp rallies that will come. Measured, monthly, regular investment is the better way to invest.
Volatility ahead.
Hunker down and ride it out.

I lost my apple airpods on @airindia flight to Delhi on 10th October, the Find my Airpods app shows the location to be IGi airport however absolutely no support or efforts from the airline staff at the airport to help me recover them. @airindia please help!
quant is not factor-based house. We don't look at any 'factors'.
We believe factor based thesis is a bogus thesis that has failed globally & miserably.

@IndiGo6E do you understand the meaning of accountability? Don’t think so, considering that this is an every day story in the Indian aviation. You have so easily normalised passenger harassment that sometimes even they think it’s okay.
@IndiGo6E Every time I wait at the boarding gate 25 mins before the departure & boarding gates open just 10 mins before the flight time and flight gets delayed. Today, the status of flight showed boarding up until 10 mins before departure & they closed the gates immediately (1/2)
