My take:

1/ Offer instant, massive status update to expecting / growing families:
- BTO subsidies in Singapore are the single biggest brake on the TFR. "Married" couples just want to flip their HDB and cash-in the $100-400k subsidy gov give them, while wasting 3-4 fertile years before getting the keys. Makes zero sense, it's 100% gov money down the drain.
- Couples with a live birth, married or not, should get INSTANT BTO. Baby is born: get the keys next week. INSTANT. Logistics of sparing a handful of flats per BTO is really not complicated.
- Kids = logistics. The car "tax" in Singapore, aka COE, is around S$100k for 10y. INSTANT free COE for families of 2 (and maybe half price for 1 kid). I would totally buy a car tomorrow if I had no COE (yes, I have two kids). I need it, it's not fancy stuff.

2/ Medical care of expecting and delivering should be FREE:
- Cost of non-complication expectation + live birth = S$10-20k.
- Cost of IVF treatments: S$5-10k per cycle, let's assume S$15-30k for success (without delivery.
- I don't understand why SG gov is ok to subsidize a BTO *hundreds* of thousands of dollars for couples who might not even reproduce, when couples who actually reproduce would truly appreciate about 10% of that same subsidy for delivering a new citizen.

3/ Leadership roles in gov and gov-related companies reserved for parents
- Singapore is about status, we follow the behavior of whoever is in charge.
- As unfair as it will sound, having the Prime Minister AND and the head of the "Marriage and Parenthood Reset Workgroup" both childless is really bad optics, "do as I say, not as I do".
- 99.9999% Singaporeans associate rightly success with no kids, and current leadership is another proof if it was ever needed.
- Extra childcare leave has ZERO impact: imagine telling your childless boss you are now owed more leave... zero chance it makes you, the hard-working parent, more desirable in the workplace (unless your own boss has 3 kids and does the same).

Singapore has immigration to compensate for low TFR, but immigration brings its own set of complications (integration, sense of identity, etc), and immigrants come as adults. I feel very sad when I see the public school where my son is going see classes shrink in size so fast (where he is there are SIX classes of Primary 6 and FOUR classes of Primary 1). A society without kids roaming around is just super sad...

Plasma is better in colour! Watch one of our latest #plasma pulses in our ST40 tokamak, filmed using our new high-speed colour camera at an incredible 16,000 frames per second.

Each pulse lasts around a fifth of a second. What you’re seeing is mostly visible light from the plasma’s edge, glowing pink. The core is simply too hot to emit visible light.

In this footage, lithium is dropped into the plasma. As it interacts, it glows red when excited, then turns green as it becomes ionised, losing an electron. From there, it traces the magnetic field lines, revealing the plasma’s path around the tokamak.

Lithium is the focus of our $52 million ST40 upgrade programme, in partnership with @ENERGY and @energygovuk. This builds on pioneering work at @PPPLab and others that has shown that lithium can significantly improve plasma performance.

This video comes from ongoing research into X-point radiator (XPR) regimes, a promising operating mode for future #fusion power plants that aims to cool the plasma before it reaches plasma-facing components (PFCs), helping to reduce wear without compromising performance.

MBG adalah bukti paripurna jeleknya kualitas dan kompetensi elite penguasa Indonesia.

Kenapa sih harus MBG? Kenapa nggak proyek KRL atau pabrik?

Jawab: karena para elite itu tidak mampu membangun KRL dan pabrik. Karena mereka bodoh dan malas. Lebih gampang bikin dapur.

Dikasihlah proyek gampang ecek-ecek (at least dibandingkan dengan bikin KRL), yaitu bikin dapur. Kemudian TETAP GAGAL. Hasilnya busuk, berbelatung, mentah, dan berjamur.

Untuk "melakukan korupsi proyek KRL", minimal lu harus "bisa bikin KRL". Elite yang saat ini berkuasa tidak mampu melakukan hal susah seperti itu. Jangankan KRL, bahkan MBG saja terbukti tidak bisa.

Sudah jahat bodoh pula. Merampoknya tidak canggih ataupun cerdas seperti di Jepang atau Korea (keduanya korup, despite propaganda, tapi canggih). Merampoknya kasar, brutal, tidak mikir, dan destruktif seperti preman jalanan.

Kalau kita terus-terusan dipimpin kelas penguasa elite jahat preman perampok pemalak SEKALIGUS boomer gaptek kolot inkompeten tidak becus tidak kreatif seperti itu, Indonesia tidak akan maju untuk selamanya.
