@aviationbrk So many things went wrong in this scenario. A undermanned ATC Tower may have contributed, but that's not the end game.
What do you think went wrong?
When I started my aviation career 17+ years ago, I had a very different plan.
Proverbs 19 reminds us that
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”
Proverbs 19:21 ESV
Sometimes we make plans with confidence, only to watch God redirect the path.
A door closes.
A timeline changes.
An opportunity doesn’t work out.
Something we prayed for looks completely different than we imagined.
If that is you today, know that God's purpose for your life was never dependent on your perfect plan.
God sees what you cannot see. He knows what you do not know. And when He redirects your steps, you can trust that He is still leading you.
So make your plans. Dream big. Work faithfully. Pray boldly.
But hold your plans with open hands.
Because when our plans change, God’s purpose remains. 🤍

When I first met my husband, I was in the USAF and had just volunteered to serve a year in South Korea. 🇰🇷
He told me he wanted to be a Pastor ✝️
I didn't believe him 🤣
Here we are 12 years, 4 kids, and 6 ministries later 🤯
I am still working in the aviation industry but serving in a new capacity in a way that honors the Lord 🙏 Sometimes our plans don't go as planned, and that's ok 💜

This is one of my favorite pictures from my time in the USAF. Taken from the catwalk of Bagram AB ATC Tower with the runway in the background.
My professional aviation career has not been linear but it is still incredibly rewarding.

@homebringwine Yes I 100% agree! As a young Mom in the church I have only met a few older true Titus 2 women. Most older ladies are focused on their own families, friends…or when their card game starts…
@brendan_aronson The best civilian boss I have had on the civilian side was a retired 0-6 with the best soft skills ever. Our organization had never had a leader like him before and my civilian peers were blown away.
