@gazer_nite@armyofone occams razor and physics would suggest it's because Dobsonian power didnt actually take an image of 3i as it would have been impossible.
@nic_moneypenny@fpl_goldenboys Again, you are knowingly and disingenuously cherry picking parts of quotes that fit whatever your agenda is.
I know the full quote. You dont? c'mon.
@nic_moneypenny@fpl_goldenboys Funny how you leave out the part of the quote with the most likely explanation- that "it could be explained by cometary evaporation". You are not simply providing information, you are purposely cherrypicking information.
@SunWeatherMan No doubt. They strapped rockets on a 33 billion ton chunk of nickel, travelled for billions of years at a snails pace relative to the distance travelled, conserving fuel to observe a planet that likely didn't exist when they left on this amazing voyage.
@grok Incorrect. The image in question was taken with a solar telescope. Even if it wasn't, a regular telescope without a solar filter would melt due to the proximity of 3i to the sun at the time this image was captured.
@grok How can you tell that? This picture would have to have been taken with a solar telescope. How bright would 3i have to be to be visible through a solar telescope?
