🎙️🎧 Listen to this @talkRADIO interview with Brum leaseholders landed with huge cladding removal bills, when they are also suffering loss of income due to Covid-19. Thank you 🙏 for the coverage @alex_dibble@iancollinsuk

Really incredible that the Mayor of #Newham wants to create a youth zone in Stratford WITHOUT the brilliant, successful, in-profit Stratford Circus. Please sign this petition to tell him to save #OurStratfordCircus https://t.co/9XqyFDx9td @Han_Coxy
It is with some relief we just heard @RishiSunak announce in #Budget2020 a new Building Safety Fund of £1bn to ensure all unsafe, combustible cladding will be removed from all private &social buildings over 18m. We look fwd to working with @RobertJenrick to #EndOurCladdingScandal
One of the nicest birthday presents I’ve ever had! Thank you @RishiSunak...Plus a year to the day of us launching @ukcag with @ritustweets@CladdingScandal!Today is a good day. But Q’s still remain about buildings <18m, interim measures & whether the fund is going to be enough.
Currently delving into the detail but fab news on the face of it that there'll be a £1bn building safety fund for cladding removal which will go beyond removal of ACM (this last point is crucial). Potential big win for #endourcladdingscandal campaign @ukcag@McrCladiators
This is a welcome step forward for all of us who have campaigned for the replacement of flammable non-ACM cladding to be funded by the government.
We'll have to see the detail on this — and what this means for buildings that are tall but under the 18m restriction.
And so it's a major step forward for which it is necessary to pause and pay tribute to @McrCladiators@ukcag@LeedsCladding for their lobbying and particularly @GrenfellUnited for their unwavering commitment to the principle that justice for Grenfell means safety for everyone

Great news but I have lots of questions.
❓No mention if it will cover fire safety issues.
❓No mention of split between social & private housing.
❓With 11,000+ high rises in the UK - is £1bn anywhere near enough? I’ll await the small print.

@LeedsCladding@LKPleasehold Very welcome Budget announcement in response to our campaign for funding to get rid of unsafe cladding. We need to see the details - which buildings will be eligible and how will it work? - but we have started to make our voices heard.
With £2.5b earmarked for potholes... what are you doing @RishiSunak@BorisJohnson to help those of us living in unsafe homes due to poor building regulations. Mountains of debt, and a flat that might kill us... #endourcladdingscandal#DoTheRightThing
The Labour Party in Salford will always back those affected by the fear of dangerous cladding and the financial cost of having it replaced, such as those in Imperial Point in The Quays mentioned in Rebecca's letter to The Chancellor.
