Beautiful way to end the semester! In addition to nutrition it is essential to laugh and be happy in our lives! Laughter will always positively impact our patients in their daily lives :) @beh353#beh353
Laugh because it feels great, because it is healthy for you, and because we take ourselves too seriously. It’s time to lighten up. “Laughter is the best medicine.” https://t.co/zhvfQVUAyM Spread joy and laugh today! #InternationalMomentofLaughter Day!
100% agree! Our choices are a big factor on our well being. The healthier choices we make the more control we have in maintaining our bodies! Although cancer is not something we can control it is interesting to see that we can control the spread. @beh353#beh353
Fascinating update! This diagram underscores the complex relationship between diet and cancer progression, highlighting the importance of metabolic pathways in tumorigenesis. It's a crucial reminder of how lifestyle choices can influence our genetic landscape. @beh353#beh353
Proper nutrition is highly crucial to the maintenance of health. As a future PA it is my responsibility to regulate patients’ blood sugar levels as well as nutrient levels associated to blood tests. Nutrition is key, compared to BMI calculation. #beh353#beh353
Hi Karis! This is a great read! I liked learning about how to properly fuel our body so that we are able to exercise. Food is fuel and that is one thing I took away from this read. It matters what food we eat and that eating foods rich in protein is good! @beh353#beh353
This is a good article to read because it talks about two important things that require health such as exercise and protein. Exercise is important, but it makes our bodies even healthier if we also focus on what we eat. @beh353#beh353
This article reminded of what Emma talked about in her presentation. Fresh produce is extremely important for college students as well as growing children, although it may not be the most affordable atleast there is no chemical preservatives in order to change it! @beh353#beh353
Thank you Emma for this! Frozen and fresh produce are different. Frozen produce is another way to say processed food, we eat it when it is most ripe but fresh produce costs more, and also comes in smaller quantities at the same price! @beh353#beh353@EmmaDArpinoRD
I loved this post! Not only does it go with it being April Fools but it also suggests some great meals for kids aligning with this week’s topic! My personal favorite was definately the eggs with the bread because it balances protein with whole grains! @beh353#beh353
@karisbauman@beh353 Great article! I really liked how you mentioned that we should involve kids in shopping as well to give them a chance to pick out snacks they like which are balanced of course. This article provides a few nutrition full options as well as good tasting! @beh353#beh353
This article is extremely helpful to provide to parents about their child’s healthy eating. Highly easy to read as well as backed by proper research, it educates parents on what their children require on a daily basis so stay healthy!

I think this has a lot to do with this week’s content. In order to control metabolic levels, foods can be switched out for healthier options that way one is not starving themselves but can also eat all the foods they enjoy with more nutrient filled ingredients! @beh353#beh353
Healthier Twists on Classic Italian Cuisine. Love Italian cuisine but aiming for healthier eating? Good news! With a focus on fresh ingredients, you can make healthier swaps in classic dishes without losing the rich flavors. #OurMobb https://t.co/osdfYZWSEc
@AOrovitz45438@beh353 Hi Alex! I agree, providing a listening ear can not only strengthen the relationship between physician and patient but can also make the patient feel relieved of emotional burden/stress. This is something I will keep in mind too. @beh353#beh353
habits are what 100% matter, no matter the size. This will help me care for future patients because even if their weight is elevated on BMI terms, if I can help them maintain metabolically healthy (blood pressure, cholesterol) levels I will have succeeded. @beh353#beh353
@amiinatverr@beh353 Hi Ami! I really liked how you pointed out that fat shaming can lead to shame and depression on the person who is being fat shamed. I believe James Corden addresses this! I also agree that there is some variation in genders and how each is affected by obesity. @beh353#beh353
Totally found this relatable to the material this week. People who consumed diet soft drinks had higher BMIs compared to those who consumed regular soft drinks. Consumption of sugary drinks are scaling yearly internationally which will scale obesity numbers. @beh353#beh353
Obese individuals spend about 3.2 hours watching TV a day while normal weight people spend about 2.5 hours. I watch lots of netflix so I feel like I should definitely cut back on it and invest my time in staying active. I will set a 2 hour time limit for TV a day! @beh353#beh353
@kaylaamariee675@beh353 Hi Kayla,
I so agree! Although I do enjoy meal prepping I tend to never get time because of the constant assignments and exams. I completely understand though, meal prepping is not easy and does still require so much time like deciding what ingredients to use. @beh353#beh353
Love this article! While it does talk about utilizing packaged foods, it also talks about how adding frozen vegetables or fruits in the food to make it healthier. It also mentions meals which are easy to prep, perfect for me since I struggle with meal prepping. @beh353#beh353
Definitely can relate to the lack of time to plan, shop and prepare healthy food. On weekdays I have homework and studying to do that I don’t get time to meal prep and on the weekends I’m working on deadlines and doing other chores which leads to me forgetting. @beh353#beh353
As soon as I can across this post I saw strawberries and was reminded of how recently I have been consuming many strawberries in my diet. I also know strawberries are a great source of Vitamin C! I also found out cherries are quite rich in vitamin c too! @beh353#beh353
Does the #dirtydozen have you afraid to eat strawberries and cherries if they're not #organic? Turns out the @ewg pesticide ranking system for produce lacks scientific validity. Check out my latest video for the deep dive https://t.co/OaDhRpsDgK
@amiinatverr@beh353 Hi Ami! Great article. This also reminded me of the vitamin gummies I take every morning. It also made me realize that Vitamin C is something that I have recently been consuming a lot of since I’ve been eating a lot of strawberries and even brocolli. Thanks! @beh353#beh353
