No one should have to make the choice between their job and recovery from surgery, caring for a loved one, or being with their newborns right after giving birth. Everyone deserves access to paid family & medical leave. Time to step up and make this happen! https://t.co/zISWlvae5U
I voted yes on SB365, which is the companion bill to @RepOMara bill, which allows first responders to receive workers comp for PTSI without having to prove that the injury was sustained under ‘abnormal’ working conditions.
🚨 PTSI Bill Passed!🚨
Thanks to the support of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, first responders suffering from post-traumatic stress injury can now access the benefits they deserve. Special thanks to @senbartolotta and @RepOMara for their dedication to protecting those who protect us. This is a major win for mental health and for our first responders! #PTSI #FirstResponders
This week the #PAHouse approved legislation to make sure our first responders can access workers compensation benefits related to Post-Traumatic Stress Injury.
This is now headed to @GovernorShapiro's desk to become law!
When the bill passed, we welcomed @PghFireFighters and fire fighters from across the state to the House floor to honor their service to our communities.
Great work by @RepOMara to get this done!
Very proud SB365 is heading to the Gov's desk! 🖊️ This allows first responders to access workers’ comp for PTSI. Not possible without @RepOMara's tireless efforts. Thank you! 👇🏻

This week in Harrisburg we passed a bipartisan resolution recognizing Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. This topic is so important to me and I want all Pennsylvanians to know that we understand the significance of this issue and are working to save lives.
Today, the committee held a voting meeting and favorably reported two bills! @RepOMara's legislation to guarantee earned paid leave for all PA workers (HB 2548), and @RepHaddock's legislation to modernize the ASL Interpreter Act (HB 2566)!
Your emails and phone calls are making a difference!
The PA Senate Labor and Industry Committee voted unanimously to support HB 1632 to provide First Responders with PTSI benefits from Workers Compensation.

Good afternoon, all.
With great pleasure, we would like to share that Springfield High School received the National Blue Ribbon today. (https://t.co/rjz7s6mHgi).
Congratulations, SSD. You did it!
Before our bill signing ceremony on Monday, I had the honor of celebrating Solar for Schools with @RepMGS, @SenatorComitta, @RepOMara, @RepBorowski, @RepLeanne, & @RepHeatherBoyd in Media. We couldn't have passed this bill without the support of the Southeast delegation! 🌞
Voting by mail is safe and secure, and no evidence exists of widespread mail voting fraud in Pennsylvania. After every election, counties conduct two audits to ensure the accuracy of all results. Learn more about voting by mail in PA by visiting our fact-checking webpage: https://t.co/0PkVdyXARk.
Our Solar for Schools bill signing ceremony was yesterday.
Over a year ago, we introduced the bill standing behind a solar panel. None of us knew if we’d be back again to celebrate. But thanks to the hard work of countless partners & @GovernorShapiro’s signature, we did it. 🌞
Really lovely evening with my council colleagues, township staff, @RepOMara & @TimKearney4PA’s office, & many community members for the ribbon cutting* at our new park.

Many thanks to Madeleine for reporting on my and @RepOMara's project with Delco's VFWs and American Legions to make them even safer places for our dear veterans. I'm so proud to be part of this amazing group effort, and am holding Brian's friends and family in my heart. ❤️🩹

Glad to be on campus at @cheyneyuniv with @GovernorShapiro to outline the wins we achieved in the #pabudget around higher education! Glad to stand with my colleagues @RepOMara , who’s been leading the charge on student debt relief, and @RepMaryIsaacson , a fighter for higher Ed!
