Tale of two headlines today:
1. AGI is right around the corner (and the government is in on it)
2. Generative AI confidently makes mistakes 60% of the time on average
I suppose both of those things aren't mutually exclusive.
If that's the case, we are going to have AGI that is basically drunk all the time.
Personally, I don't think we are anywhere close to AGI. Or if we are, it's because the standards on what precisely constitutes AGI is lowered.
