@LegoBatshit @steph2490 @wonderlust484 @HM_Passport Exactly that yes. Had sent letter, even took copy of letter to FT appointment but even after 4 days they hadn’t processed withdrawal yet so they suggested upgrading the original application via email

@LegoBatshit @steph2490 @wonderlust484 @HM_Passport At FT appointment they did accept application but couldn’t progress it until original had cancelled. So emailed upgrade on Wednesday evening (with evidence) was called back on Thursday morning to pay and received passport on Friday morning.

@LegoBatshit @steph2490 @wonderlust484 @HM_Passport Exactly. I had original application, even went to fast track but then ended upgrading the original application in 2 days as would be quicker than fast track and had evidence of travel in 14 days

@Leannelittle91 @passportwaiting Yes booked mine as travel mid april and it takes a week following the appointment for passport to be sent (according to appointment booking website). Earliest appointment I could get was 1st April so hoping that gives enough time. All the while my other application continues

@Leannelittle91 @passportwaiting Just spoke to passport office and they told me to book a fast track appointment and take a letter with me that explains i want to cancel my original application. Obviously you also need a birth certificate and supporting documents for new application but seems a much safer route
