@passportsevamea is the walk-in for senior citizens not applicable anymore. I took my 76 yr old mom to psk Sai Arcade Bangalore today and was denied a walk in entry. Kindly confirm. It's a hassle to have senior citizens denied basic rights.
Loc: 5th Main, HSR Layout. Repeated followups to remove debris and silt pile up with GBA is just falling on deaf ears. While silt is making the road slippery, the debris pile up just encourages people to dump other unsegregated waste on it. This is a major road, btw.
Blackspot reclaimed. Clean for 5 days. Huge shout out to the BBMP SWM team - The Cleaners, & The Supervisors, Maruthi and Naveen, The Nursery and The Luggage Auto guys, The Local Vendors and the Mangammanapalya Community who took the resolve to keep it clean and green.
Loc: Mangammanapalya Rd. Nr Salarpuria Serenity Apts. We Cleared a major pile of debris here recently bcoz BBMP wasn't doing it. We clear our own waste, and pay our dues diligently. Is it too much to ask BBMP to clean up every day to stop another black spot being created?
@ZC_Bommanahalli Loc Mangammanapalya Rd, near Salarpuria Serenity Apts. Day 1, no response to complaints when it was furniture debris. Day 2 other rubbish and dead cat gets added. on complaining- only dead cat is removed, basket and remaining rubbish is still there.
What are we waiting for now? The monsoons to come, so that we have another reason to delay this further. Year after year we have had the water logging challenge with even a small rain event. This needs to be prioritised!
@ZC_Bommanahalli What's SWD guys real excuse now to finish the work now, seems like stories we have is different to HSR Sec 7 RWA. Wasn't 5 years enough to get permissions they needed? Location- 5th Main, HSR Layout, near Salarpuria Serenity Apts
This is how unplanned we are. What is the point of cutting such beautiful trees if no action is taken for the core purpose of completing the long pending drain work. Monsoons are also round the corner. This will become messy, not to mention no pathway to walk!
Loc: Busy 5th Main, Sec 7, HSR Layout, nr Salarpuria Serenity. Trees were cut by forest dept on 15/3/25 -was needed to finish an incomplete drain. b
But these haven't been removed. work cant be completed till then. who is meant to clear it? Are we to clean up? and pay up?
This open SWD within 100 mts from the busy junction of 5th Main HSR & Mangammanapalya Rd is like this for 5 years despite pleas to complete it. Can someone in govt pl tell us pedestrians how to navigate cows and vehicles safely? Lucky, didn't see dogs or rats today.
@ZC_Bommanahalli open SWD, Footpath encroachments, rubbish being dumped at the busy junction of Mangammanapalya Rd, 5th Main HSR Layout - a planned BBMP Layout. Please suggest where do pedestrians walk navigating these hurdles
@ZC_Bommanahalli Evenings on Mangammanapalya Rd. next to Salarpuria Serenity Apts. Footpath filled with rubbish, roadside taken up by vendors. Rd has high pedestrian footfall and traffic. Guess where pedestrians are being forced to walk - middle of road, dodging erratic drivers
Important Rule for Life: When in doubt, zoom out.
Being perpetually zoomed in creates two challenges:
1. Struggle feels bigger than it really is.
2. Growth feels smaller than it really is.
The 10,000 foot view provides perspective—on the manageable nature of your struggles and the impressive nature of your growth.
Two effective ways to zoom out:
1. Vertically: Zoom out via "altitude" and see the bigger picture context of the moment.
2. Horizontally: Zoom out via “mental time travel” to the past or the future and observe the present through that new lens. Go back 10 years and think about how your past self would be in awe of where you are today. Go forward 50 years and think about how your future self would give anything to be back doing the things you get to do today.
Both can work wonders.
Always remember: When in doubt, zoom out.
@blrcitytraffic@hsrltrafficps this van guy has set up a shoe stall on 5th Main HSR Layout right under a no parking sign next to Salarpuria Serenity Apts. He hasn't budged despite being told he can't set up there.
A BAF team today met the Principal Secretary (Environment & Ecology) Sri. Ravi.B.P, IFS and submitted a representation for govt to review and reconsider the steep increase in consent fee for operation of STPs in residential complexes imposed by @karnatakakspcb@aranya_kfd
Illegal chips storage/car parking on roadside causing two accidents in the last two days, road divider displaced.
Requesting strict and immediate action!
