🚨Update: PMRDA meeting on Gat 1185(A) & 1185(B), Wagholi – Drainage & FSI issues 🚨

A meeting was held on 17 Sept 2025 with the resident of internal baif road and @OfficialPMRDA commissioner Mr. Yogesh mashe.

Key outcomes

• Commissioner acknowledged procedure lapses; no CC/OC until main drainage infra is in place.
• Stop-Work Order directed for ongoing works in the affected layout(s).
• PMRDA Director, ADTP and ATP will conduct an inspection of the affected areas (with PMC coordination).
• Next meeting in ~14 days (tentatively Wed 01-10-2025; PMRDA notice awaited).
• FSI agenda (incl. compliance under Order PMRDA/VPV/Mouje Wagholi/Gat No. 1185A/3017, 10-07-2025) to be taken up next meeting.
• Kalpak Homes (1185B) FSI issue will also be heard next meeting.
• Developers to put action plan for drainage system in the next meeting.
• PMC Drainage to table a technical plan (route, capacity, outfall, timelines); developers to submit a time-bound action plan
•Govt depts present: MPCB (Mr. Jayant Doke, FO), PMC Water (EE & team), PMC Drainage (EE & team).

We request @OfficialPMRDA to do the inspection at the earliest and start work to resolve the issue of drainage water logging in the society premises.

For the past two hours, there has been a massive traffic jam on the Pune Airport-Lohgaon-Wagholi Road, causing major inconvenience to commuters. Strangely, no Pune Traffic Police have been spotted at the scene, leaving frustrated drivers to manage the situation on their own. @CPPuneCity @PuneCityPolice

This bottleneck near the Water Tank (Canara Bank), a spot usually manned by traffic officers of @PuneCityTraffic during the day for vehicle checks, is now completely unsupervised during the evening peak hours, contributing to the chaos.

Another day, same story!

Do we still call it Pune-Nagar road or should it now be labelled as "Killer road". Unfortunately this is what it is and it's only the common people who continue to suffer on the roads - either by getting stuck in traffic forever or by losing lives.

Despite Pune Police Commissioner Office and DCP Traffic issued another order two days ago banning heavy vehicles on Pune-Nagar road on specific hours, another horrifying accident occurred this morning in Wagholi during restricted timings for heavy vehicles.

The impact of the two wheeler with the dumper truck was such that it claimed the life of the biker on the spot.

High time traffic orders and guidelines are strictly imposed without exceptions.

@PuneCityTraffic, @CPPuneCity sir - When are we going to see this change and improvement in Wagholi and Pune-Nagar road traffic?

It is another precious life that is lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family!

@PuneCityTraffic - This was bound to happen and unfortunately as feared there was an accident between a heavy RMC cement vehicle and school bus carrying young children on Wagholi-Lohegaon road earlier today in the morning in Wagholi.

We hope that all the young kids and everyone else are safe.

Kindly note that heavy vehicles such as dumpers, cement mixers, JCB, heavy trucks and trailers are openly roaming during the prohibited timings on Pune-Nagar road, Wagholi-Lohegaon road, Wagholi-Kesnand road even though a final order was released by DCP Traffic, Pune.

It is high time that strict restrictions are applied and all such traffic violations are challan'ed without any exceptions so these mishaps can be avoided!
