Two days later and @1Password for Agents is still trending in the X news section. Few things beat watching a launch you’ve lived with for a while land the way you hoped it would. The convenience agents deliver shouldn't come at the expense of your privacy or control.
Walmart letting AI agents shop means the next checkout problem is identity. Who is this agent acting for? Did that person approve this purchase? Up to how much? Payments move money. Identity proves who said yes.
As Amazon blocks AI agents from shopping on its site, Walmart is taking the opposite approach, introducing new technology that lets AI agents make purchases on customers' behalf, with controls over spending and transaction approvals.

Riding demand for its developer and #AI security tools, @1Password CEO David Faugno said he sees a path to hit $1 billion USD in ARR over the next several years. https://t.co/mt5hXbiceX
I huge milestone for us driven by the growing adoption of @1Password's developer and AI security tools as customers secure the AI agents and workflows they build. Thanks for the thoughtful story @eschisgall!
the bottleneck for what AI agents can accomplish on the web is shifting from model capabilities to access
KERNEL + 1Password lets your agent securely log in to the websites you use, without ever exposing your credentials to the model
Browser Use Cloud can now sign in autonomously with native 1password integration 👀
> approve the login once
> 1password handles the rest
Sekurity!
KERNEL now supports @1password for agents. your agent can sign in without ever seeing your password.
it asks for the login it needs. you approve the request in 1password. the password goes straight into the KERNEL browser and never to the agent.
Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉
We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.
1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials.
The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords..
You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.

An agent fixes one function and breaks three others downstream. We trace the call path from every change, rerun verification on each connected function, and flag only the failures this agent introduced. Pre-existing issues stay separate so you see what actually broke.
We put together a full walkthrough of Panolayer. Pre-merge function-level code verification, live regression checks, risk scoring, architecture map, agent orchestration. It even catches a regression @Claudeai introduced while fixing a bug.

I first heard of Tolan over a year ago. It feels like they were ahead of the game at the time but finally able to ride the wave after quietly building. Much deserved. Also you can always count on a thoughtful story from @alexrkonrad
Exclusive: Tolan's AI app is used by 250K people, mostly outside of Silicon Valley.
Now the startup has raised $30M from USV, Khosla Ventures and Homebrew to widen access to an AI companion CEO Quinten Farmer (@quintendf) wants you to trust.

Same model, 4.4% → 61.1%, and the gain came from the harness. The catch is that most teams won't hand-code one. In Panolayer you build it as a graph: steps, checks, and what feeds into what, with no orchestration code. Custom harnesses shouldn't need a research team.
@Panolayer's Function-level Verification engine, will be launching a Visual Studio Code Extension soon.
This will integrate our custom AI verification models into most of your favorite browsers: @Cursor, @code@WindsurfCurrent , @kirodotdev, @antigravity and many others!
Here's a sneak peak to how easy it is to get started.
Trace a bug down to the line. Panolayer builds a visual architecture parsed from your code, showing every group, component and function and how they connect. A red badge marks the one with a failing rule, so you can follow it down to the exact line. See how Panolayer turns your codebase into a visual architecture: https://t.co/EtZGfHjOwh
