"Where Have They Gone? Over the last 40 yrs the population gap b/n the Oromo and Amhara has starkly widened heavily favoring the Oromo. The reasons behind this staggering demographic change remain unclear and demand answers" #Missing_Amharas
In attendance at the House Committee on Foreign Affairs | Subcommittee on Africa Hearing: Ethiopia: Promise or Perils The State of U.S. Policy. All I can say is that the Amhara people and those interested in saving Ethiopia and pursing unity, justice and peace ARE ON THEIR OWN…but most of you already knew that and I urge you to continue to press on and fight for the future of Ethiopia ON YOUR TERMS.
Gelan (Sidamo Awash)– The other Auschwitz concentration camps of Amharas set up by Abiy Ahmed
This is Abiy Ahmed's Auschwitz concentration camp of Amharas in Gelan (Sidamo Awash) where thousands of Amharas are herded off to death row.
All these Amhara prisoners of Abiy Ahmed's Auschwitz concentration camp of Gelan are dying in hundreds because, as can be seen in this scene, on arrival they are condemned to unimaginable torment (both physical and psychological), criminally induced living conditions, starvation, and a life of an utterly insane environment that exposed them to infectious diseases and eventually to death.
@hrw , @amnesty , @antonioguterres , @SecBlinken , @USAmbUN , @PowerUSAID, @UN where is your international morality when hundreds and thousands of innocent Amharacivilians have perished in the industrial-scale massacre unleashed by Abiy Ahmed’s genocidal regime?
@Achamyeleh1986 The IC only condemns such acts when the narratives fits the Western's political interest. How come they loose the courage to write a single statement condemning this. Didn't know that humanity has a race or ethnicity in their definition.
The Amhara Holocaust Unfolding in Ethiopia : In the heart of Ethiopia, a modern-day tragedy is playing out, largely unnoticed by the world. Emerging video footage from hidden concentration camps in Oromiya reveals a horrifying reality: severely malnourished ethnic Amharas suffering from contaminated diseases, while health officers are forced to wear blue protection suits, symbolizing the gravity of the situation. This appalling spectacle unfolds right before our eyes in the 21st century, and yet the global community seems to be turning a blind eye to the multidimensional Amhara genocide that is unfolding in Ethiopia.
Behind this tragedy lies a sinister intent, perpetuated by the ethnic Oromo-dominated Ethiopian government, to erase the Amhara ethnicity from existence. Oromo political elites, including Prime Minister @AbiyAhmedAli , have propagated the belief that the Amharas are settler colonizers of the Oromo people. This narrative has even been incorporated into the preamble of the Ethiopian constitution, branding Amharas as colonizers. Under the current regime, which is overwhelmingly dominated by ethnic Oromos, Amharas are being abducted from the streets and placed in concentration camps.
It is incomprehensible that such cruel animosity could persist in the 21st century, especially when international institutions like Amnesty International @amnesty and Human Rights Watch @hrw are believed to function as guardians of human rights. However, the silence of these institutions in the face of genocide committed against ethnic Amharas on multiple occasions has raised serious questions among the Amhara community. Are these institutions truly dedicated to preventing genocide, or do they only come into play to mark the anniversaries of genocide after it has already occurred?
The time for action is now. The Ethiopian government must be condemned and sanctioned for its brutal torture and detention of thousands of Amharas in concentration camps in Oromiya, Ethiopia. Failure to act would be a betrayal of humanity and a disgrace to the principles these international institutions stand for. We cannot stand by and allow the Amhara genocide to continue. The world must wake up to the horrors unfolding in Ethiopia and take meaningful steps to stop the Amhara Holocaust.

Incident dates: From March 30, 2023 on wards
#AddisAbaba#Gelan, #TuluDimtu, #Ziway, #Oromo Region #Ethiopia#Tepi#SouthWest Region
#Yirgalem#SNNP Region
Over 100,000 Amharas have been detained just for their identity since March 30, 2023 (GPE Report June 26, 2023: https://t.co/XWphAeU9bR). These are in addition to thousands of Amharas that were detained in a mass arrest campaign against Amharas two years earlier in May 2022.
The number of people abducted just for their identity has risen alarmingly over recent weeks. People are abducted with no reason after their IDs are checked randomly. The majority of the abductees from within Addis Ababa city are taken to make shift temporary holdings like high-school grounds and various industrial storage places from where they are moved to undisclosed locations often outside Addis Ababa to locations like Gelan, Tulu Dimtu and as far as Woliso, Arba Minch and Tepi.
Detainees in undisclosed locations are reported to get only one bread a day with some days of the week not getting any food at all. Leaked videos, audios and pictures of these detention centers show a very bleak reality reminiscent of early days of the Auschwitz-Birkenau detention centers where Nazi units held Jews just for their identity. The videos indicate Ambulances on standby to take bodies of Amharas that die out of extreme torture and starvation, the images also expose those who seem to inflict pain on the detainees all war masks and protective medical sanitation gear indicative of possible presence of communicable disease outbreak on the grounds.
Extreme torture, coercion and making Amharas abductees sign documents and testify against other Amharas under duress is continuously reported out of both temporary holding places and other concentration camps. Extra judicial killings have been continuously reported ever since the mass abductions began. The majority of the Amharas held at concentration camps are daily laborers, street vendors and people who were found to be Amhara after a random stop and search campaigns in the capital city Addis Ababa. Abuses reported thus far include, extreme torture, mutilations, mass murder, coercion, rape, humiliation, and starvation.
Majority of the detainees are:
1. Street vendors
2. Lottery vendors
3. Daily laborers
4. Young people from their homes and on the streets
5. Students abducted either from their homes or from the streets
6. Civil servants
7. Political party members (especially those of Balderas party members)
8. Amhara Peoples' representatives from Amhara Region and Addis Ababa
Location:
1. Addis Ababa, in all available police stations, schools (for example there were 100 in Wondiyrad high school, 150 in Belay Zeleke School, and over 150 in Biruh Tesfa School), Youth Centers, Various service centers (for example, at the Addis Ketema Senior Citizens help center found at the back of Abune Aregawi Church)
2. Outside Addis Ababa:
Yirgalem (SNNP Region): On August 10, 2023 over 28 buses full of Amhara detainees were taken to Yirgalem town from various police stations in Addis Ababa; where they are kept in SNNP region police training center.
Ziway and Meki (Oromo Region): Many Amharas taken from Addis Ababa and Nazareth cities are taken to undisclosed locations in Ziway and leaked information indicates that they are subjected to inhuman conditions.
Tepi (South Western Region): Amharas detained before and after the illegal state of emergency declared in Amhara Region are kept in undisclosed locations in Tepi.
Awash Arba (Afar Region): Amharas detained before and after the illegal state of emergency declared in Amhara Region are kept in undisclosed locations in Tepi. Even people's representatives who were supposed to have immunity because of their status are among those who are held and tortured at this infamous location.
It is also feared that there are multiple undisclosed locations where Amhara detainees are being held as reports of them are surfacing but most who know about it fear for their lives to disclose these locations.

There is no crime that ‘African Hitler' (Abiy Ahmed) and his pogromist Nazi party haven’t committed against Amhara civilians, ranging from genocide, massacre, mass killing, robbery, raping, destruction of homes, kidnapping, vandalizing & destructing of civilian properties & ransacking businesses.
@guardian today's report of the mass killings of Amhara civilians in Majete, ‘Amhara region’, is only the tip of the iceberg of Abiy Ahmed’s brutal massacre and gruesome killings of defenseless Amhara farmers and children, where over 75 Amhara farmers, including all male members of a family, have been massacred by the genocidal army of OLA and that of Oromo Special Force.

Leaked Images Expose Plight of Ethnic Amharas in Oromiya Concentration Camps : In a shocking revelation that has sent shockwaves throughout the Amhara community, leaked images have exposed the dire conditions faced by ethnic Amharas in concentration camps located in Oromiya, Ethiopia. These individuals were abducted from the streets of the capital city, Addis Ababa, and their stories depict a harrowing tale of ethnic profiling, discrimination, and human rights violations.
The Gelan Sidamo Awash concentration camp is the setting for this disturbing revelation, where ethnic Amhara civilians find themselves detained under deplorable conditions. Among the prisoners are people from diverse backgrounds, including street beggars, lottery sellers, daily laborers, engineers, doctors, priests, sheiks, and university students. Their only crime appears to be their ethnic identity - they are Amharas.
One of the most shocking aspects of this revelation is the inhumane treatment these prisoners endure. They are provided with just one loaf of bread per day, with authorities callously stating that this is more than sufficient for Amharas. This gross neglect of their basic dietary needs paints a grim picture of the deliberate suffering imposed upon these individuals.
Furthermore, the prisoners are forced to urinate in the same room, leading to unsanitary conditions that jeopardize their health. Even children are not spared from this injustice, as they find themselves imprisoned alongside their families. When questioned about the reason for their imprisonment, mothers respond with heart-wrenching simplicity, "Because we are ethnic Amharas."
A police officer, who anonymously leaked these pictures to a prominent activist, explained that his motive was to ensure that evidence exists in case the prisoners are executed. This grim foresight underscores the severity of the situation and the urgency of the international response.
These actions are part of a wider pattern of ethnic profiling and persecution of ethnic Amharas in Ethiopia. In the Amhara region itself, the Amhara people have been revolting against the government's policies, which have culminated in what is described as an ongoing Amhara genocide. As the regime faces military losses, it has resorted to arresting Amhara civilians, even outside the Amhara region, including in the capital city of Addis Ababa.
The international community must take immediate action to halt the ethnic profiling and persecution of Amharas in Ethiopia. Investigations into the hidden concentration camps in Oromiya and other regions are imperative to expose the full extent of these human rights violations. The world must stand united against such atrocities and work towards a more inclusive and just Ethiopia.

@Fisseha_Tegegn The country is on the verge of a complete collapse. One of the key actors catalyzing the collapse were Gin 7 folks who chose to ignore all the signs of hegemony that Abiy Ahmed was planning to bring. Maybe politics isn't for everyone. Just speak about something that you know ⚾️
In this video, it's clear that when APF demands Abiy Ahmed and his government face the ICC, it's because they're violating laws that protect humanity. Shooting an unarmed person not posing a threat goes against international law. 🌍
Under international law, military use of deadly force against civilians is governed by principles like proportionality and distinction. Key laws and treaties include the Geneva Conventions, ICCPR, Rome Statute, and customary law.
These rules aim to safeguard civilians during conflicts and hold violators accountable. 🕊️⚖️ #InternationalLaw #ProtectCivilians #AmharaGenocide
@AmesganawM #WaronAmhara Fighting in Amhara region has instensified in recent weeks. @AbiyAhmedAli is using mass killing & rape as a weapon of war. We strongly urge @MikeHammerUSA to call for a negotiated settlement of the war & the immediate withdrawal of ENDF from the region.
