Today, @Ant_Intl’s strategic investment in R2 marks a new milestone for the company — and a new exit for Hi Ventures, our third so far in 2025.

We backed R2 at a key inflection point, as the founders began using AI to transform SME lending in Latin America. Their technology now helps close a $1.8 trillion credit gap, empowering hundreds of thousands of small businesses across the region.

Hi exits @r2_capital ... a story of timing, trust, and second chances.

When @rogerlarach first reached out in 2020, we met, shared ideas, clicked but did not invest. Through the years, we could only cheer from the sidelines as R2 joined @ycombinator and raised from @generalcatalyst and @GradientVC.

Four years later, a message from @dchhugani brought them back into our orbit. We met again... and this time, we didn’t hesitate. @hi_ventures_ led the round.

Today, @Ant_Intl 's investment marks a new chapter for R2, and a proud exit for us. But more than that, it’s proof that great founders always find their way back.
