I'm Rusty and I've been building VR gameworlds for 4 years. I also make small games occasionally.
I'm so grateful to see people enjoy my worlds, and take such wonderful pictures!

It's been a hot minute since I've done this is there any photographers out there that want to meet up and hang out and chat are people that want to do that shoot me a DM or leave a comment we'll figure it out 😂
So I'd recommend not to use more than one fully realtime light at the same time.
The real use case of runtime shadows baking is to trigger it for one frame to rebake shadows if your scene changed. After being baked, these shadows are almost free.
I really love new VRC Light Volumes shadows! But I have to tell you that realtime feature is very expensive, more expensive than Unity's default shadows. So such shadows should mostly be used in baked-realtime mode, when players can only receive shadows, but not cast.

Yeah, coming back to fix issues that blocked me a year ago was a good idea. I've learned a lot since working on other games that have made solving these issues possible.
Making original content takes time! It's all part of the process.
Just an update, I reworked a broken system in one game and it's working better than before!
Hopefully this one can reach a more polished state, which I'm excited for since it's an original game and my good friend @Sunk3n_ made the soundtrack!

Taking a break from the forest world to rework a couple games I started on last year. I learned some ways to keep the code cleaner and more manageable in UdonSharp, and I have alot of work done on the world itself and logic already. So, they are highly likely to be released.

@2Y6yzB93ibkUUMS It's very strange that the lightbulbs are fully lit, yet the lightmap appears unchanged. It's on a different different Unity version than VRChat runs, which can explain the error. It lives up to its name as an experiment. Thank you for the photos, Nail.
