We’re thrilled to lead Town’s $55M Series A.
Town is a personal AI assistant that works across the tools you already use - email, calendar, Slack, docs, WhatsApp, desktop, web. It learns how you work and starts proactively pitching in.
People are already leaning on Town for the kind of work that’s personal and operationally messy: running recruiting pipelines, juggling school logistics, processing handwritten grant requests, prepping summaries, drafting follow-ups, catching the stuff that would otherwise slip.
The longer you use it, the more it picks up: your voice, your relationships, your preferences, your routines, what you actually care about.
Jean-Denis Greze and Tony Vincent are the right team for something this hard. JDG was CTO at Plaid and an engineering leader at Dropbox. Tony led product and AI at Google and design at Dropbox.
Welcome, JDG, Tony, and the Town team, to the a16z family.I

Proud doesn't cover it.
For the past 5 months, we've been sprinting towards building an AI assistant that learns you, and learn how you work.
@TownAI is out of beta today with our Series A. We're just getting started.
Today, we’re launching @TownAI: the AI assistant that learns you.
We’re coming out of beta with a $55M Series A led by @ARampell at @a16z, with participation from @KirstenGreen at @forerunnervc and continued support from @firstround, @altcap, and @conviction.
Right now, getting real value from AI means prompting, configuring, building workflows, managing agents.
We think that’s backwards.
The future of AI is a companion that already knows you and how you work. Town connects across your inbox, calendar, Slack, docs, messages, and workflows to understand what you need, then starts doing the work with you.
Drafting. Scheduling. Project tracking. Follow-ups. Context gathering. Multi-step tasks. And it only acts when you say so.
All adapting to your voice, priorities, routines, and relationships over time.
Your Townie is the AI assistant you actually need.
excited to finally announce that @AmbrookAg has raised $29M in funding to date, including a $26.1M Series A led by Thrive Capital and @zoink.
thank you to everyone who has been part of our story so far. I can't wait for the story to come.

Congrats @daraladje and the Delphi team!
If you haven’t tried their product, it’s scary good when you pair their model with a hyper realistic voice output.
All the minds in the world. Now one question away.
We’ve raised $16M from @sequoia to build @withdelphi - create your digital mind & turn your expertise into living, interactive conversations that scale globally.
See how our customers use it below 👇🏼
After it took days to book an HVAC appointment in the sweltering heat, I built @Netic_AI: the AI revenue engine for businesses that keep America running.
Silicon Valley ignored essential services for too long, so we raised $20m from @foundersfund, @greylock, @mavolpi to fix it.
What's next? I'm gonna take the summer off to travel, do some creative projects and play with some new design tools!
While I plan my next adventure, I'd love to connect with startups (especially travel ones—I'm a travel nerd at heart). DMs open! 2/2
...and that's a wrap!
After 3 incredible years, this week marked my last at Contrary. So grateful for the amazing HQ team and I'm really proud of what our lil' design team accomplished with Contrary Research, Foundations, Frontiers, and many more projects. 1/2
aaannnnd that’s a wrap. ✨
The most special thing about #config25 isn’t the talks (they’re great!!) but the relationships u get to rekindle. It’s the one time a year where I recharge the “ahh, you belong here” battery.
Time to sleep and hermit ✌️
omg @pampam_city is sooo fun to use!
adding my short list of cool spots >20 mins from #config25 (and no resy needed) for when u are hangry.
check it out 🗺️

Hey @AmericanAir this was pretty unacceptable on my flight AA177 (N105NN) last night. The entire foot rest was missing from my seat 7C.
I get that the 321T will be retrofitted soon, but that’s just kinda an embarrassment. The XLRs can’t come soon enough
