@MarkHoover71@korfist@ALTIS Absolutely. I am out and about for an out of town wedding but it would be awesome to talk shop later. I 100% agree with that statement. In posturology we look a lot at the feet and I'd everyone I train has a valgus or varis issue.
At the end of the day results will ALWAYS be king
It doesn’t matter what you try and show on social media
Your results will ALWAYS be louder
(Or lack thereof)
@pbasilstrength@pntrack@BrendanThompsn I replied with some of the things you listed above as well as they are still athletes. During the course of the race they sprint at the start, change speeds during the race and sprint at the finish. As Tony would say, "raise max speed and sub max speed will increase."
5 Reasons Why Sprints Are Mandatory For Athletes:
1. Get Faster:
This is the SAID Principle. To get better at something, you have to do it often.
2. Injury Reduction:
Consistent exposure to max velocity prepares the tissue to handle that force and stress.
3. Training Transfer:
Speed, like Strength, lifts all other qualities. It helps improve performance in every other measure of athleticism.
4. No Replacements:
There’s no substitute for speed training. You have to go out and sprint, there’s nothing else that gives you the same stimulus.
5. Too Easy To Do:
Just a few max effort reps per session is all it takes. Literally minutes to do. The return on the time spent makes it a no-brainer.
“You better come to your team lifts & stop worrying about your private trainer.”
Team lifts:
- 3x10 of everything
- Full body 4x per week
- Minimal sprints & plyometrics
- “burnouts,” & nonstop “finishers.”
If you’re going to force kids to school lifts, make them good
