Nonfarm payrolls disappoints in April like in Australia there's an outsized contribution from the healthcare sector in the month and through the year. Goods producing sectors fairly limited growth by comparison
The biggest rip-off in Australia is surely superannuation. Over $30 billion in fees per year. A similar amount of tax breaks.
All for essentially no macroeconomic benefit.
Supermarkets wouldn't even make it in the top 10 Aussie rip-offs.

The real reasons Sam Altman probably got fired
1. Elon Musk has influence with other board members, this is a hostile takeover
2. Sam Altman has hit AGI and he didn't disclose it to the board
3. The foundational structure of the company was miscommunicated to the Board. Like voting rights, money, etc. It was overcomplicated stuff, so it could be it.
4. Moving too fast and regulation is coming down on them in ways that Sam didn’t share
