@jeremyscahill@DropSiteNews@_jwhittall Gaza must prove it’s “not a threat” while the state charged with genocide is handed impunity.
Israel’s victim narrative is structurally preserved, while Palestinian agency is erased — and a state with no accountability appoints itself guardian of law.
[1/8] People in #Gaza who have survived bombs & bullets are starving. Yesterday, Israeli forces again fired on crowds waiting for aid trucks. Hospitals report >80 people killed. The starving arrived as the wounded. There seems to be no limits to this cruelty. A🧵from Gaza…
And 10 children per day lose one or both of their legs. 20 months of intense hostilities have destroyed the protection environment for persons with disabilities and older persons. Protection Cluster outlines 5 key protection risks in this regard requiring immediate attention.
The fuel shortage in #Gaza has reached critical levels.
@WHO joins @UNOCHA, @UNDP, @UNFPA, @UNOPS, @UNRWA and @WFP in calling for fuel to be allowed in consistently and in sufficient quantities to sustain life-saving operations.

'I think now we've gotten to the point where it's unequivocal'
While talking to @SkyYaldaHakim, Martin Griffiths, former under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief, accuses Israel of carrying out a genocide against Gaza.
A claim Israel denies.
🚨UAE condemns Israel for forcing aid trucks to go through “red zones” where Israel-backed ISIS-linked criminal gangs & drug dealers loot aid under IDF protection
UAE says out of 24 food trucks that entered yesterday, only 1 arrived safely to warehouses
UAE was supposed to 103 trucks into Gaza yesterday, but Israel only allowed 24
Red zones is what Israel calls “extermination zones” (like Rafah at the moment); which connotes areas where no Gazan is allowed & anyone stepping a foot in them is instantly killed or detained.
Several gangs operate in those Red zones under full IDF protection who always only fire at policemen that try to prevent looting

As I’ve just discussed on @BBCNews, the first five trucks of vital baby food are inside Gaza. We need to get them distributed urgently, and we need much, much more to cross.
I'm alarmed by reported plans by Israel to expand ground operations in Gaza.
I emphasize the @UN will not participate in any operation that doesn't adhere to international law & humanitarian principles - humanity, impartiality, independence & neutrality.
I reiterate my appeal for the full support of @UNRWA’s work.
And I reject the repeated displacement of the population – along with any question of forced displacement outside of Gaza.
“Aid is being weaponized through its denial.” – @_jwhittall to journalists in #Gaza City.
Israel has imposed a nearly 2 month long blockade.
Nothing has entered. People are desperate and hungry.
It’s not only a humanitarian crisis, “there is an assault on people’s dignity”.
Israel's lies about the massacre of the Red Crescent medics are comprehensively taken apart by Sky News.
Israel's initial lies, and subsequent lies, are taken apart.
This is important journalism.
But it isn't good enough. Here's why.

Most of the 15 paramedics and rescue workers recently killed by Israel died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest from “explosive bullets,” otherwise known as “butterfly bullets,” which explode in the body upon impact, ripping apart flesh and bone. https://t.co/AvPZjqwmMs
Al-Ahli hospital in #Gaza is out of service following this morning’s evacuation order and attack - @WHO has received an update from the hospital’s director. A child died due to disruption of care.
The emergency room, laboratory, emergency room X-ray machines and the pharmacy were destroyed.
The hospital was forced to move 50 patients to other hospitals. 40 critical patients couldn't be moved. The hospital is unable to receive new patients pending repairs.
Hospitals are protected under international humanitarian law. Attacks on health care must stop.
Once again we repeat: patients, health workers and hospitals must be protected. The aid blockade must be lifted. Ceasefire.
Days before the Golani Brigade re-deployed to southern Gaza, a video showed one of the commanders addressing his troops. “Everyone we encounter is an enemy,” he said. “If a figure is identified, we open fire, eliminate and move forward. Don’t get confused.”
