Correct. Years ago I was guilty of "user blame" myself but after successful phishing exercise after successful phishing exercise, I had the epiphany "We are never going to stop 100% of users from clicking on a well-crafted phish. How about we try to make it so it doesn't matter?"
Stop blaming users for security issues caused by *your security team* failing to give them widely usable and secure ways to perform their part of the *mission of your organization*.
Data centers revitalize American manufacturing by driving massive demand and upgrading the power infrastructure in former industrial hubs.
Building American technological infrastructure is good for America.
@NedMiddles1 True story: We won the "Super Bowl" my last year of Pee Wee football after making the deal with our coach earlier in the year if we won we'd get to go to Hooters. Our families took us and we got pictures with the girls, signed hats and T-shirts. We were 11-12.
Running has taught me that if you run hundreds of miles, train 5 days a week, and stay consistent for months, you too can become incredibly mid at running
Utah is not building a 40,000 acre data center.
They are using 40,000 acres of water rights for the power generators that will power a data center.
Pretty much all outrage you see about data centers is deliberate misrepresentation designed to fuel outrage.
The source of the myth is @_KarenHao she wrote a book called Empire of AI claiming a data center would use over 1,000x more water than a nearby city because she misunderstood the units of measurement.
It made international headlines and the mistake / lie has been unstoppable.
