Outlets in the UK driving narratives and looking at hormonal differences in the production of AU/UK beef, going to be interesting to see this play out.
The UK/AU free trade agreement kicked in on May 31st '23 boosting $$s straight into Ag industry.
Huge market for AU farmers. For comparison, the UK imported 15,400t from Ireland in the same period ~ 68% of the UK’s total beef imports in June '22.
Looks great on the face, although getting here hasn't been without its climate and rights controversies; many often point to the increase in carbon emissions when importing AU beef vs UK grown (30kg Co2/kg compared to 45kg Co2e/kg for AU).
Current list of habits I'm focused on changing:
• Batch updating my focus list vs using it as a real-time tracker
• Browsing Twitter during key focus hours
• Too much blue light prior to sleep and schedule irregularities (> 45min diff in schedule, 2-3 nights per week.
It is easier to recruit the most talented people when you are working on an exceptionally hard problem with generous opportunity for impact.
People want to be challenged.
The old adage "no risk, no reward" is not always true.
It is about managing risk and finding investments that have the potential for high returns without exposing you to too much risk.
